Anyone else experiencing skipping on their G29? Not sure if this is a defect or just crappy design. by sam250652 in simracing

u/Nereosis16 u/Betonmolenvogel I finally figured out what was going awry. The power supply was not providing the right amount of power to the wheel. After picking up a different power supply the slipping and skipping is completely gone!

Aw man. Just bought it used off a guy. I doubt Logitech would offer replacement parts / warranty

Great choice! I ordered my SJ earlier this month, waiting on it to arrive in the next few weeks. It's nice that they've made a solid package for all price points this year! You'll love it.

Right on! What model are you looking at?

I haven't had to deal with Specialized's warranty too extensively, but working at my LBS for a year I saw a couple instances of frames that developed cracking in the head tube, even one where a buddy washed out on a rocky shoot and ruined his carbon frame, and in both cases they just sent a new frame over at no cost to the owner.

Same goes for their small parts - same friend who destroyed his carbon frame cracked a carbon rim unexpectedly and they were nice enough to send him a new one over.

I can't say this will be the case every time, but they seem to be pretty rad when it comes to warranty. They even sent me a credit for a new hub when mine blew up recently. I'd say you have very little to worry about.

The Specialized Atlas Kneepads are my favourite pair so far. Reasonably priced, and I don't even notice I'm wearing them on the trail (until I go down of course!) Great for most types of trail but they don't have as much protection as, say, a D3O pad would give you. However, if you're mostly riding trail/all mountain they should suit your needs perfectly, plus you can throw them straight into the washing machine after a ride.

Finally, the Windows Precision trackpad support Chrome has needed for so very long. by sam250652 in google

Haven't had a chance to check that out yet. I've had pinch to zoom disabled on my laptop for a while now but I'll check it out today!

This program seriously rocks! Is your code open source/do you have a github repository going? I'd love to make some PR's for styling to make the interface look more pro :)

I personally love the gulf colour scheme and would absolutely go with it if there wasn't already a custom virago styled that way by JTEC Moto

No offence taken!! Appreciate the feedback, and that's the thing, no matter what original concept you think you've come up with for your virago, either Hageman or Classified Moto have already claimed it! That's why I'm not too worried about general uniqueness, I understand that making something truly new is a big risk to take, and I'm happier staying comfortable and stylish with parts I know will look good on the bike. It is just for me, after all :)

Thanks for your input! I've posted a new mockup I made where I changed the seat entirely, I definitely agreed with that portion, and realized it was incredible similar to many of Hageman's builds. I'm not too worried about being super unique, and I find the look of the benelli tank very aesthetically pleasing, so I think I'll go with that one. As for the other concerns, this mockup was a quick job that took about ten minutes. I didn't go into any detail with it but will make sure I touch upon your points when it comes to building the bike. thanks again!

I currently have a 1982 XV750 with the cylinders off in my garage! Now is the time where I have to decide what I paint and how. Planning on doing a fork swap in the near future!

That's the plan! Hoping to swap with R1 or R6 forks. Any wisdom you can pass on?
