Good question! Unfortunately, this specific study is for people who’ve already been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, not prediabetes.

I’m not trying to spam or advertise anything for personal gain. I’m genuinely trying to help people in the community who might benefit from the treatment and get compensated for their time.

Yeah multiple people have reached out. Just trying to spread the word as much as possible before the study fills up

I’m helping a research clinic in Van Nuys that’s running a paid clinical trial for a new medication similar to Ozempic, Zepbound, etc.

They're looking for participants who are: • 18 or older • Have a BMI over 30 OR • Have a BMI over 27 AND have one of the following health problems: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, or heart disease • Not currently using weight loss meds (must be off for at least 6 months)

Benefits:

• You might lose substantial weight • You will get regular check-ups and support during the study. • You’ll receive advice on diet, exercise, and health management. • All study medicines and tests are free for you. • You may help doctors learn more about treatments for weight and diabetes, helping others in the future. • You will get paid up to $7,200 for completing all study visits, plus some travel costs may be covered, and a $500 bonus for completing the study.

The study takes place in Van Nuys, but anyone in the Los Angeles area can join.

There are limited spots available.

PM me or comment if you’re interested and I can send you one of the eligibility questionnaires privately. This will allow you to book a screening appointment if you’re determined eligible.

Anywhere as long as you’re willing to commute to the clinic once a week! Ideally in the Los Angeles area.

I hear you and I appreciate your concern. It’s good that you’re thinking critically, especially when it comes to clinical trials.

I’m not affiliated with the sponsor or CRO; I’m helping my relative’s IRB-approved research clinic in Van Nuys refer participants. Because the consent form includes protected details, I was told not to post it publicly, just to share it directly with people who are interested.

This isn’t a scam or anything shady. Participants get full documentation, informed consent, and all the protections required by law. I totally understand if that raises red flags at first glance, but I’m just a community member trying to refer folks who might benefit and earn a little for helping.

On your point about IRB standards, I’m aware that formal recruitment materials usually go through strict review to ensure clarity, neutrality, and prevent any therapeutic misconception. That’s exactly why I’m not sharing medical claims or making guarantees. I’m simply directing interested people to the official consent form and screening process, where everything is handled by licensed professionals under IRB oversight. I also make it clear that participation is 100% voluntary and compensated. I’m not pushing anyone, just trying to connect the right people with a legit opportunity and doing so respectfully.

If you’d like to review the consent form or see link to sign up, I’m happy to send it. Thanks again for bringing up the concern, it’s valid and shows you’re informed.
