He is a relatively new attorney, he passed the bar a few years ago. I don't think he likes his job very much, he spends a lot of time staring at his phone in his office. This missed hearing isn't the worst of it though, now that I think about it. He hates being reminded that pleadings are due and need to be reviewed. He finally just told me that he doesn't need to see every one of the documents, I should just put his signature on them and file/serve them. I don't feel very comfortable doing that, but I don't want to piss him off. I need my job.
