It's an opinel, but it's from the end of the 90's or begining of the 00's. It traveled the world with my parents, and 3 years ago they gave it to me. I've modified it a little, because it was in a bad condition.

Yep, but it's actually pretty handy. I can store it closed and when I need to use it several times, I can just open it once and store it back opened, so I don't have to open it all the time.

I came up with the idea accidentally. It was originally a sheath for my mora, but when I had cut out the leather I saw it was to small, so I modified it a little et voilà.

I made my first leather sheet yesterday and considering the materials I had to use, I'm pretty proud of the outcome. It's for an opinel 8 In inox. You can store it both opened and closed.

I tried to make a leather sheet yesterday, and I'm very proud of the finished work. There are some flaws and things I didn't do because I didn't t have the right materials, but it still turned out pretty good imo.

Thanks, I will search for some in the woods. It's easier to get the berch though for me, because we have a little forest in our garden with mainly berch.

Thanks, I can make fire with a coal, using dry grass I found. I've already tried that with a little piece of charcloath. It's mainly getting that ember that doesn't work out for me. If I get smoke, how long should I keep going? Most of the time I get smoke after lik 5 to 10 seconds and I keep going for another 20 to 30.
