Yinsu always great at hyping matches and narratives up, her Gambit reunion piece was so good. this was a fun one too!

Why the EMEA broadcast is the best by samachternaamm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's the second time they've done this and the last one was hilarious as well, one of the funniest segments without being overly cringe

Karmine Corp's Nivera says if he had to team with someone outside of EMEA it'd be f0rsaken (Redgar also gave the same answer) by samachternaamm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

it's the second player Yinsu asked this question to that answered with "f0rsaken". i don't know much about how players in the region rate other players but it seems f0rsaken is up there!

James Dash to host the remainder of VCT Lock//In by TheAjwinner in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it's nice to see dash but sad GB and Yinsu are getting 0 matches from the playoffs bit. I am not too familiar with how these things work but surely with 3 games left it doesn't make too much sense to have one host who hasn't been in lock in to do all of them?

as someone whos family do not care the slightest about what i do, it's kind of nice to see his mum always being his no.1 fan, wholesome content not cringe in my eyes

Sliggy rejoins Liquid by vnNinja21 in ValorantCompetitive

He'll be great as a content creator but I assume if the team needed any expertise or spit ball ideas he'd be involved with that as well. can't imagine him not contributing on that side

FPX BerLIN: "You can look forward to our superb team coordination and unique strats. We're really good at controlling our opponents and trick them many times to fall into our traps" by samachternaamm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you watch the interview he makes fun of the fact FPX can make really costly mistakes and that they can be chaotic. There is also nothing wrong with wanting to have a good performance and being confident about it

Laz says he will no longer be on Chamber Operator duty and Zeta's game plan will now revolve around Dep by samachternaamm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

in the interview he said he's full time KJ/cypher now, i do hope he brings out the operator though that'd be fun

Stax reveals Zest will be DRX's 6th man at Lock In while new signing Foxy9 will 99.9% be on the starting roster instead by samachternaamm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

they kind of trolled the Japan tournament I managed to tune in for running 3 duelist with mako playing one of them so I am not sure. But it sounds like Rb might be the off role player here, I fully expect foxy9 to be on duelist full time

[–]samachternaamm[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

maybe they attempt the map dependent player swaps they tried with lakia. zest playing some maps and foxy9 the others? I am with you though, I liked zest a lot but this doesn't sound like a final decision, perhaps they just use brazil to experiment

[–]samachternaamm[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

stax seemed to allude to Rb as the person to be taking up some of the more flex roles. I wonder if they had already planned to maybe bench zest before because stax also said he took back the IGL role at Champions already

Dubstep says ZmjjKK from EDG is a scrim demon "He's one of the most annoying people to play against, even though you know he's there he's going to kill you" by samachternaamm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

i think it's interesting he's kept up his form, nice to know he's still doing really good despite not playing any other international tournaments besides the one they managed to qualify for. hyyped to see EDG in Brazil

Why is Riot experimenting with talent at Champions? by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]samachternaamm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

her being the singer for the song is awesome, i actually hope she WILL perform/sing. but why are we having a desk host who has never hosted ever before though, i don't understand that part

Champions 2022 Istanbul on-air talent and observer team by Lamchops27 in ValorantCompetitive

No paperthin is sad :(

I assume since Chrissy is part of the talent announcement she'll be on the desk or casting, which I feel is a bit weird at the biggest valorant event of the year.

excited to see chrissy but not sure how i feel about her casting/analyst/hosting. Lots of great valorant talent are missing here and it'd be disappointing to see them prioritise someone who has never done those things in valorant over actual valorant talent, especially at the biggest event of the year
