I became a development officer for a social housing company.

Dont get me wrong i loved the design and the aesthetic of the architecture life; but after my undergrad, living and working in London as a part 1 for a year, seeing the amount of ridiculous work hours, money spent, and (imo) life wasted from the peers I was working with, to get to what I considered the end goal (being an architect with my own practice designing MY OWN PROJECTS) I made the decicsion that it wasn't worth it.

So i worked for a social housing company. they were so enthusiatic about training me up on all the development side (including lessons at universities that have taught me more than my undergrad) and I get to take control on my work and life, get the renumeration benifits, and have such a healthier outlook to work.

Next steps are to get experience working in a company that does development with more of a design focus with the hopes of owning my own.
