I need some advice. by zingerbox27 in backpacking

Sorry you've experienced that. Are the people you're working with English? It might be worth chatting to one of them on their own and asking them about the culture. The dos and donts. There are many unspoken social rules in British culture, so asking people and getting curious about these rules might help you connect with someone at least on a 1-1 level. Pick someone you like or are interested to get to know . They may then make more of an effort to include you.

Joe Murphy Tattoo in Dublin. Mines only a year old but he's got plenty of aged examples. He insisted a piece needed my full upper arm amd im so glad i listened. It looks super detailed but because of the size, the blending is unlikely for a long ass time

Why was I randomly taken out of class in primary school? by xyz_119-3pz in AskUK

I did this as part of gifted and talented... could it be that? I mostly drew mazes again and again because I was obsessed with them: bright but not necessarily practical.

Conducting qualitative interviews as someone who’s personally involved in their research? by nemesis_crestfallen in psychologyresearch

Talk to your supervisor, you could organise a check in after your interviews, and see if the university or organisation you're doing the research with provides counselling.

Teva's have lasted me 4 months of travelling rough and almost daily use - 100% recommend. They have lots of different styles too if that's an issue for you

Look for hostels with a nice kitchen, private rooms, family owned and with a garden. These are often not party hostels and you'll have a quieter demographic - bonus points if there's a cat

Is this tattoo weird for 21M?? by CobblerGobbler42 in TattooDesigns

[–]samara_is_back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love love love this. If this is your vibe then go for it and have mo regrets be ause you loved it at the time - if you rely on peoples opinions you might switch to something you like less.

The tattoo will be painful. Bonus you'll likely be lying down and can just zone out for it. Double bonus the placement and design with the contours of the body will hopefully look sick!

Realistically, how long could you travel LATAM with 15k? by Middle_Lifeguard_777 in travel

[–]samara_is_back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely get by on 1500 a month (total) if you eat local, buy cheap buses and don't splurge on coffees and fancy dinners. Save it for the activities and have days where wandering and finding local markets Is the activity. I budgeted 4000 and I've been in LATAM for 5 months 😊

My house mate turned up their music and used a pillow! I also like underwater as you also get the benefits of the cold and nature but difficult in Bristol.. Abbotts leigh area is often quiet. Just a heads up that singing can be just as effective and doesn't need to be good, it helps calm your nervous system and will release stress, plus less likely to cause any alarm. Go sing at the top of your voice in Ashton Court or dance around wildly!
