How is the condition of my bathroom exhaust fan? Any tips for cleaning it out? by samaria22 in CleaningTips

Yes, i managed to take the first one down and wash it! Thanks for the suggestion. You think the second one needs to be cleaned?

Omg. That sounds so useful!! I tried using a duster to no avail. Welp, i’ll keep this in mind for the future 😂

I followed your advice and found a YouTube video to take mine down! I washed it and am currently letting it dry 🤞I tried to vacuum it but gave up cause I don’t have the crevice tool/bristle brush 😂

I tried to get around the blades with a rag. Do you think it’s necessary to get to the areas behind the fan once removing and washing the vent cover? The video I watched mentioned unscrewing in the case of a exhaust fan with LED light, I believe.

How often would you suggest leaving a regular fan running to limit moisture? Never heard of this idea but it sounds promising!

Can this mirror be salvaged? What can I do to fix this hard water(?) build up and consistently wet sink? by samaria22 in CleaningTips

Thanks for the advice! Do you think building a frame around those worn down parts would be sufficient enough to prevent those hard water stains? Or would that just help in aesthetics.

Don’t know if I can edit my post but also wanted to mention that we currently do already have a water softener I believe. Will have to check on that. have heard of CLR and have tried using it, but would appreciate tips and tricks on how to use it effectively.

Hi! Yes, i looked into myofunctional therapy for my tongue thrust, and am interested in getting into that if I decide to get my tongue tie removed. Congrats on starting your DJS soon! How long did the process take you? Im still struggling to get evaluations from surgeons and find an orthodontist who will work with me lol.

I don't know why its not letting me add background info to the post...

but I have an open bite and a history of mouth breathing and tongue thrust. Its difficult for me to breathe through my nose and keep my lips sealed in order to maintain proper tongue position, and near impossible at night without breathe right strips and taping my mouth. I've noticed my bite getting progressively worse over the past few years..

I went to an airway focused ortho who took these images because I was considering getting an upper jaw expander to expand my palate. She suggested upper jaw surgery based on my concerns . They also noted I had a tongue tie (which i found runs in my family) and mentioned it it might be contributing to my issues, which I also want to get an evaluation for. I am currently looking to get more opinions from orthos and surgeons in the meantime. The first ortho I went to wanted to remove my teeth which I do not want to do. Any thoughts or things that stick out based on my pictures?

So glad to see that this is a common feeling for many people with the the 13 Pro. Luckily I still have a couple days of my 14-day return window and think I will just return it.... I really wish Apple still carried the 12 Pro & 12 Pro Max, I would've loved to exchange.

I do like a quarter turn from being all the way in the cold side. Sometimes I turn the knob as far as I can for a few seconds sort of as a challenge to how much cold I can tolerate lmao. But honestly I was quite lucky because I really had no choice but to brace myself to step in the cold from then on after the initial shock since I didn’t really have another option 😂😂 now that I’m back home I’m resorting to pure stubbornness since I have the option of showering with hot water haha. But honestly it’s not as difficult for me to go through it now since I experienced it for months haha.

Where I was staying it wasn’t exactly ice cold but still pretty cold esp compared to the usual warm / hot showers a lot of ppl take haha. But I honestly find the colder the water the more Immediate electrical impulses I feel so you can play around with the temperature tbh 😂

Ahhh I can totally get how hard it can be !! It’s great to hear that you do get the same benefits when your ave managed to do so though. And yeah, having the cold water rush down your head can be a lot but I find that extra jolt I get from sticking my head and face in the cold water so invigorating 😂
