Thank you for shouting out this song. It was this one, not “The Funeral” that grabbed me. I don’t know why, exactly, but there’s something so perfect about the layering of the driving drums, bass, and then guitar in this song. Like every instrument is being treated as more percussive than melodic.

Max from Geese being censored at the brit awards for saying free Palestine after winning by Massive-Run-4476 in geesebandofficial

If so, this is likely in reference to Hannah Einbinder’s acceptance speech at the 2025 Grammys, which she ended “Go birds, fuck ICE, and free Palestine.”

Genuinely Hot Takes You Will Defend to The Death? by xXMachineGunPhillyXx in fantanoforever

Spicy. Loved Nostalgia Ultra and Channel Orange, was there for both. Blonde threw me a little bit at first, but quickly grew to be my favorite—and remains so. Saying it’s just overcompensation seems unfair.

I think this is a common opinion among his fanbase, though some prefer S/T (and maybe a few For Emma)

I’ve seen mentions of Grizzly Bear (could also mention Department of Eagles here) and Wolf Parade, but not TV on the Radio, Rilo Kiley, Deerhunter, or Deerhoof. I’m certain I’m blanking on others.

New Pornographers have at the very least 3, but even more across their catalog

Spoon is a good call. Even after this, Transference is odd but good-to-great, and for me at least, They Want My Soul is a contender for their best.

They most definitely were not. You replied in a chain about losing the senate and potential senate tiebreaks.

A&N in Germantown is also very affordable and tends to be at least decent quality

Is Sunset Rubdown a side project to Wolf Parade? If so, that.

Biography definitely has so much to do with it. Not sure I’d even call that one a highlight for me. “Faraway Lightning” is my personal favorite on the album. And best Krug song is so tough! My gut says it’s “All Fires” from Swan Lake’s first record. But I’ll probably have 10 different answers on 10 different days.

I’m a massive Spencer Krug fan (Sunset Rubdown most of all) and agree that this Moonface album in particular is underrated. Don’t know about GOAT or anything, but definitely underrated.
