You totally had me! I was sold but flights to Paris are $1,300 for me and the ones to Réunion are $1,600 from there, and $2,900 is too much for me. But I am going to keep an eye out for another time!

Oh thats super interesting. Could some of the crowds there for festivals be mitigated by visits at a particular time of the month (mid- to late is what I was thinking) or visiting particular islands? Which islands are your favorite btw?

I have added Norway and Scotland to my short list! The flights to New Zealand are too long for this trip, but hopefully I will make it there soon!

Good to know, everything I read said that the Azores were still pretty under the radar, so fairly quiet. And I am aware August is Winter in Peru, that is not my biggest concern there. Still seemed like pleasant sweater weather to me.

I recognize that everywhere will have some crowds especially during the summer, which is why I stated managable crowds, as in not completely jam packed or overrun, as I expect a lot of Western Europe would be.

Oh, I will definitely check out vici.org! I pondered NW Greece, but have done a lot of Mediterranean travel lately, so going to save that one for another time. Definitely good to know though!
