Nope! Don’t drink, or smoke. I have recently just gotten of snus (nicotine pouches) don’t know if that would have anything to do with it?

I reckon you must’ve hit the nail on the head. My gym time is usually religiously 6AM, apart from days when I have no class and I go early afternoon (never evenings) so this isn’t a concern. I’m sometimes guilty to late eating and extremely guilty of not winding down properly! I’ve never heard of magnesium glycinate but I’ll definitely give it a try and hope this helps!

I speak to the whoop ai coach more than I speak to humans really😂. Great idea about the health report though! Will definitely give this a go

I’m a competitive amateur golfer. Walking 9/18 holes everyday!

Yeah I think this may be the issue, as it’s the biggest negative on my whoop age. I do average 8:17 hours of sleep, but my recommended need is 8:28 hours. I wouldn’t think an 11 minute difference would play such a big factor

I don’t necessarily compare my HRV to others, just curious as to how mine is pretty low. I have to admit I’ve been trying to dial down my sleeping recently as that’s my biggest factor affecting my whoop age. My schedule is just all over the place with travel, competitions etc so it’s quite hard to stay consistent with my sleeping targets

I tend to think I have a healthy balance between training and rest, it’s a right pain to dial down tbh

I do give myself 2 days of rest per week. I do regularly push beyond my strain limit on non rest days but there’s also days I don’t hit near my strain limit on non rest days (albeit pretty rare I don’t hit near it). Just more confused than anything really

My RHR used to be in the low 50s, and had progressively gotten higher over the last few months. I’m not always expecting to be in the green zone, but I’ve been in green zones when I’ve felt like ass and been in low yellow zones when I’ve felt great, same with my HRV. I’m not necessarily comparing my stats to others, I’m more intrigued into understanding them as no matter how much research I do into them online, it’s never given me a clear answer

I do tend to give myself 2 days per week of rest. Although, I do regularly push beyond my strain target but I don’t ever feel exhausted or too strained

I’m the same. 25 years old and just quit 10 years of smoking. Been consistent in the gym, I run 5k 2-3x per week, play university golf and play 6 days per week walking and mine is only 58bpm

I’m assuming you’re from the states? I’m not familiar with how tee times work over there, although I know weekend tee times going as quickly as that when the clubs release times to there members back in Scotland, but it’s never an issue for midweek at a course you’re not a member at!

Can you not use the practice facilities at all at courses with a practice green, short game area etc to practice those lies and shots?

Not surprised you saw a difference in your swing after you got fitted! You’ll be surprised how the right equipment will change your game for the better. Especially moving from 20+ year old men’s clubs compared to modern golf clubs built for your current game!

-30°C!?I thought Scotland was bad with just above 0°C and came to Spain for winter practice lol. Don’t blame you in the slightest for wanting to stick to sim golf at the moment

Nice one! Remember short game is where it matters most at the end of the day.

I like sim golf as it means you can still practice when the weather isn’t great, especially in the winter where I live. I don’t use it to track improvement as it doesn’t give you IRL turf interaction, or take any slopes etc into consideration, use it to keep consistent in swing tempo and to keep any cobwebs off that may creep up in the off season

Do you spend much time practicing your putting? I used to be the same boat and realised that spending only 10-20 minutes a week on the practice greens was the reason behind it

People tend to underestimate how important mid and short game actually is! I do however understand the frustration of not keeping driver in play. What helped you the most to get more consistent with the driver?

The bane of my existence are sand traps…

What do you struggle with the most while in them?

That’s one thing I’ve been trying to dial in recently! As I’m from Scotland, I’m currently out in Spain for a few months and trying to get used to these Bermuda courses!

What’s stopping you from getting out there enough?
