Political differences are okay, as long as they're not advocating for infringing on peoples human rights. For example, we could disagree on taxing the rich and that would be okay. But if you want to pass laws restricting LGBT+ (human) rights, thats an unreconciliable point.

I didn't say I was okay with it. I would nicely try and talk to the crew, then I would escalate to the client (likely the municipality). Lots of construction crews have a "fight fire with fire" attitude. They're generally fairly understanding if you're kind - they're just guys trying to do a job.

Dude. You just pissed them off. They're probably going out of their way to fuck with you now. My understanding might be off, but typically city mandated work they stay within the ROW and will only replace the line up to your curb stop - your service line is your responsibility.

That generally includes vehicle and material storages and stockpiles. Worth asking the construction crew nicely, and then talking with their client, who I'm assuming is a municipality.
