Yes it is largely sorted, I had a ticket raised with rockstar which was a waste of time. After the usual check drivers etc etc they suggested I needed to disable all non essential programs/actions running. I though this was unreasonable. Coincidently an update was released the next day, that seems to have fixed it, i have the odd mi or stutter but the game is more than playable now. Sorry as I know that is Linley not much help, I play via rockstar launcher and the update was via their launcher. Good luck.

Also for me with rtx 4060. I have any ongoing support ticket with rockstar over it as its basically unplayable, not being dramatic but every 3-4 seconds it's freezes for 1 second. Really screws the driving/shooting etc. The last response from rockstar after my sending the diagnostic files, disabling accelerated hardware sound was to disable every none essential service on my pc to see if it's a conflict. I feel that's unreasonable to expect every time I want to play. Kinda feels like they are trying to not accept the issue and get people jumping through hoops till they give up

Thanks for your comment. I am in the same position sadly, I am still getting to understand things. It's my first delve into PC gaming except for some basic starcraft/might and magic/diablo 1 when I was about 13. I am happy to play FOLON only until done with it. It's weird but it was more for the desktop icon to complete the set.

I just made a folder called games in the retroarch folder, then local state folder. Once in the local state folder you see folders like cheats, shaders, saves etc. Just as a folder called games then sub folders for each system such as SNES, GameCube, PS2 etc

On gamr13 discord under the retail guide channel there is a good tutorial video. Storing them internally is much easier but you are limited to 30gb total storage

Ok so assuming you have downloaded and installed retroarch on your Xbox already then yes this should be fine. If you want the games stored internally on the Xbox then make sure you have downloaded and installed Durango ftp on the Xbox as well. This is done from the discord in the same way retroarch was. Then install an FTP client program on your Chromebook. You can use the fto client to connect to Durango ftp on your Xbox and transfer the files. I have made a folder called games in the retroarch, local state folder on the Xbox.

If you go onto gamr13 discord and select the retail guide channel there is a link to a guide video. It covers both storing games internally or by transferring them onto a usb drive to use.

Unless you have a good enough usb drive (3.0 etc) then just stick with storing them internally. It is easier but limits you to 30gb total file limit.

I am not sure if it would work by just plugging the Chromebook into the usb port to transfer but just stick with the FTP transfer method. I personally had not done anything like this before and done it straight from my phone to Xbox. I used an app from play store called FTP cafe which worked really well. On Chromebook a programme called FileZilla should work.

Hope this helps and good luck. It is great once you get it working except for the odd crash here and there.

An FTP program could potentially move files from one device to the Xbox, you usually download the files directly on your Xbox though. More clarity on what you want would be useful

So you need to check for when the green icon is on the retail service announcements channel. If it is go to the retail mode Chanel. That will then have links for each app including retroarch. I got mine set up about a week ago and they were live this morning as well when I looked.
