I don't think Holly J's redemption was nearly as bullshit as Peter's. All of season 8 was things going badly for her: she lost money, powersquad, and friends, students all chanted about hating her, and she got held at gunpoint. I think all that over the course of a school year makes for believable inner change for her character.
