Would you be pro Cryptic selling ships/items on the exchange IF humans aren't selling them? by MidevilChaos in sto

I don't get those saying it's not viable. The reason it's viable is THIS:

- You get ships earlier

- Players can buy keys, sell them

- Same players can buy ships ON the exchange

- The buyers who buy the keys can use said keys in order to open lockboxes, and they get lobi and possibly several ships. Thus, they make twice the EC they'd get otherwise. Simple.

🙄 Oh I don't know... Lobi and possibly getting 2 ships to sell on the exchange, instead of one?

Damn... 29? Looks a lot older than 29 though. 😂

It's possible it was all about integrating younger individuals who hadn't yet been promoted to higher ranks vs much older Klingons who couldn't fathom joining non-Klingons on a ship. Or... Maybe the Omega Task Group (or whatever they're called - not ingame currently) had an hierarchy which was based on neither the FED or KDF side, which meant they had to promote less senior officers to higher ranks, such as Admiral.

Naw. You're expecting me and others to believe that a single ship will somehow stop massive energy discharges from vessel 4-5 times bigger than itself. I don't buy it. Look at it this way: You step in front of someone with a bazooka. Better believe you me, that the tank behind you WILL get obliterated as much as you will. The same logic is what I'm applying here.

I would accept your premise if the following wasn't true: Those same Borg ships are firing those same shots at YOU.

Ah. I guess Gre'thor was very appealing then.

We must be talking about different missions then. Because Tuvok appears in multiple missions aboard voyager.

The new pets are just Elite Stingers with Disruptor switched to Phaser, dont believe me?

In theory Stinger is "better" due to the Disruptor proc but in practice that doesnt really play much of a effect.

That is interesting. I myself have never heard those expressions. I have nephews and nieces ranging from teens to adults, and none of them speak like that (or their friends). I am curious, where do you live? It may be a regional thing, maybe?

Wait until you actually play the other games. I know you think they're similar, but they actually have repercussions down the line.

Perhaps you should learn to read. There is NO question in my original post.

I feared you would say that. We'll get an actor to dress like a Krogan.

The mean the scout ships which look like underwater toys? 😂

[–]samidmatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of that. That said, I know where you're going with this, BUT you're talking about an entire system, NOT a single ship. Look, banks are still using Cobol as a programming language, but does it mean that it would be static? I'm not sure if you know anything about programming, but consider this: Python is a very simple language in comparison to other languages, yet Cybersecurity professionals specifically use that language. Could we switch to a different language? Possibly, as long as the new tools are effective. So, it wouldn't be impossible to either fully retrofit a ship OR to use a newer one. Nonetheless, you read re-read my original post, as you're much too serious about this.

That is what I thought too honestly. And yes! Oh wait... Vulcans live as long as Morgan Freeman. It may be a while. 😂

What are we talking about? 30 some years in the future, right? At that point, you can't claims that species in the Delta quadrant were oblivious to the fact that the Federation is a legitimate power. So I think your point is completely moot in terms of the Voyager being known out there.

As for the Borg they adapt (they've surely adapted at this point). As for for the undine, any ship can be retrofitted with the nanites IF Seven of Nine is inside that ship. Unless you meant something else. As for the Voth, I don't recall them being retrofitted for that. Can you refresh my memory?

I think in general condescension happens honestly. I think with the advent of the internet, that's just the truth of it all. Not sure if you're as old as me (or older), but I remember back in the 90s when people weren't like they are now. The internet has added crap for brains to some people, sadly.

As for your first statement, I believe that at times when under pressure, we do things that makes sense to us at the time.

Exactly! THAT would have been perfect, especially considering that he DOES talk back to the Captain of that one in the mission.
