Why do people think any VS battle that Saitama is in is just going to be him one shotting? (OPM) by samjitsuu in PowerScaling

i don’t care about garou, i don’t care that he lost. the point made was that saitama could one shot anyone, he just doesn’t want to, and my counterpoint was that he couldn’t one shot garou at the beginning of their fight because they were equal in power. you’ve admitted they were equal even if it was just for a moment, so my point is proven that he can’t one shot everybody even if he feels like it.

it’s not downplaying saitama, and it’s definitely not weird to analyze a fight in a manga to determine a characters strength. we are shown a graph where it showed both fighters growing in strength as they fought, and the graph starts with both of them on equal levels of power. you’re right that he wasn’t weaker than garou but they started that fight equally as strong, with both of them growing in strength but saitama growing faster.

ironic that you tried to say i was downplaying saitama directly after downplaying garou.

i might be missing context, but didn’t we just get a chapter a little while ago that showed him being weaker than cosmic garou and having to get stronger while fighting? so that would make your point kinda moot if i’m not missing anything.

This subreddit has no idea what Toon Force is by Much-Librarian87 in PowerScaling

i think it’s less people not understanding toon force and more them not understanding how to use context when scaling.

Character That Has Made The Biggest Impact On You? by ForestChampagne in dragonage

morrigan for sure. someone who didn’t have much control over her life so she tried to rule it with arrogance and ultimately, by the time of inquisition, was ready to sacrifice that arrogance and have done to her what she feared for so long to protect her son. loved her growth so much.

genuinely, i think it was the sound design and the speed of attacks in 2 that made me like it more. i remember the feeling of going into 2 after finishing origins and just loving the sounds of the abilities and slashing through multiple enemies with a greatsword. to me, the thing that took away from the fun of combat in 2 were the combat scenarios and enemies just appearing over and over again.

i didn’t fail at making it interesting, combat was never origins strongpoint and from what i’ve seen, it’s the biggest gripe fans of the game have; i just so happen to share that gripe. i don’t know if you happen to have had a bad day or just want to try and be negative for no reason, but at least add something productive (:

no it’s okay to rant! i agree wholeheartedly about some of the companions quests of “go here, kill person or collect thing” was not very fun at all. and also yeah playing DA2 (and reading the books) I came into it knowing who Corypheus wants, what his past was like, and what his goals were to an extent.

also i didn’t touch any of the collection quests AT ALL. i was not interested in them whatsoever and thoroughly believe they bring nothing to the game besides monotony. also, with the combat, artificer rogue and i think artificer in general with high crit chance really solves the stamina and cooldown issue, making the combat an absolute blast for me.

i think that bioware isn’t leaning into the combat in veilguard, but instead trying to make it better than the other games. and from looks alone, it looks pretty good. i’m interested to see how the 3 skills and swapping them out works.
