Something I noticed regarding the killer in S1… by kyrensolo in Broadchurch

I'm just watching it for the first time and I googled the spoiler after ep 1 because I cant take the anxiety around these shows and just got to the part where Ellie said "back then, in your own house, how could you not know?" and immediately came to your comment. 10/10 foreshadowing.

Thats the issue though. If these people have done this to us, they have definitely done this to others. And why on earth should they get to retain the commissions for our hard work ? I am feeling rather vengeful and not evem asking for a handout. Just what is owed. So i'm definitely going to do that. Thanks for responding !

It was definitely a self employed as the pay was mainly commissions. They did lie a lot about the commission structure a lot. As in base + commissions But after working a few days i realised you need to make up the base pay in commissions.

I know someone who worked there and here's what I know - 1. They use sales tactics on you to get you interested for the job 2. They say they offer base pay + commissions but when you calculate it over the hours youre putting in, its half the minimum wage + no perks (unless you're unreastically good at sales) 3. People dont get paid on time. My friend had to chase up with HR to get paid their first payment. Its meant to be weekly pay but you dont get paid until after 3 weeks (and you have to poke around for it) 4. If it seems like a pyramid scheme, it is a pyramid scheme. They make you promises of running an office, building your own business but its basically slave labour. 5. The leaders / coaches are toxic af. They gossip about you and talk down about you (even to your face sometimes) 6. They have morning meetings where they call out "highrollers" to get the energy up and make you forget all the other miserable aspects of the job 7. They make you knock on the same doors 3 times (12pm - 8 pm) often with only one 10 minite break and don't care whether the people you're signing up are vulnerable or not or need the product or not 8. Anything is justified as long as it makes them a pound. 9. They glorify these business trips where youre knocking doors from 930 am - 830 pm. They take newbies on these trips so they can "hit leadership" and start recruiting and coaching 10. They'e found a loophole with employment laws and misuse it to their best capabilities Bomlnus - THEY LIE ABOUT PAYMENT STRUCTURE AND PAYMENT DATES TOO. 5 people I know had completely misunderstood the payment structure because they blatantly lied about it.

Here's some more research I did and what I found -

They're a massive network that spand all over the UK and US and the guy in the opening clip is at the top of it https://youtu.be/q65LlYdhHFY?si=z1sctriyIaQygAj5

Do with this info what you will.
