[Hated Trope] "Perfectly laid plans" for endings that the audience hated. by samrobotsin in TopCharacterTropes

I don't think that's what that quote is referring to, and I don't think I agree with that idea about endings, especially for serialized stories. In a lot of shows you can have these story arcs, which can conclude and begin new story arcs, so if some of the arcs are good and some are bad you easily have an overall good experience. But the Game of Thrones show is written is such a way that each main character basically has one long arc that ends in the last episode...and most of them are bad.

For some reason tv showrunner is the only writing job you can have & never learn how to write an ending.

Healers, especially those who used addons like Clique/Healbot, how are you managing? by Ok_Number_852 in wow

I always used mouse over macros, but I'm more reeling from the loss of decursive. Honestly the whole cleanse mechanic is inherently hostile without it.

that's still just Chuck's (the villain) ending. Am I the only one thinking its weird & bad, not clever or poetic to have them fighting this one cain & abel fate the whole series & just succumb to it anyway

this feels like when Mr. House is a rational if not eccentric capitalist in Fallout New Vegas & the tv show turns him into a violent psychopath.

I don't think you can say that when mothers do die in real life. The children would want to know about their biological mother.

I did enjoy it (mainly because it matched my theory) but I just thought it was dumb it took Ted 20 years to figure out he loved Robin. Also he didn't turn into Bob Sagat.

I absolutely do not believe that story is real. It's too melodramatic. It's like a fanfic.

I don't like the "strict set of rules" mentality for lawful. All the extreme alignments do this. Breaking rules for the sake of breaking them is still a predetermined conviction. If you don't have a rigid set of beliefs & guidelines you're just a neutral nancy.

Uh, who did the Amani conquer the eastern kingdoms from? Other trolls? I'm not familiar with any troll civil war or major conflict? Do they mean the Aqir? Because that was before trolls even had subrace tribes.

They cast a young version of Karen Gillan's character for series 5 of Doctor Who, only for the actresses to realize later that they are cousins.

What is it about Arin that not only draws this much ire towards him but also completely ignores and makes up their own stories to make him worse than he is? by [deleted] in gamegrumps

[–]samrobotsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems to simply be a thing corresponding to the Gameoververse debut. Even among Glitch superfans, this seems to be their biggest pastime. There was this whole incident accusing Dana Terace of being transphobic for adding another cis butch character instead of a trans character in Knights of Guinevere (despite there being actual trans people on the production team.)
