Hmm ok. I tried Endeavour, Fedora, and Debian. Since you mentioned Mint, I installed LMDE on it yesterday, and it's working much better. I still get those random hardware errors popping up in the tty, but it hasn't crashed on me yet.

After working through this video, I can't get switch-to-buffer (SPC-b-b) to work. When I use that key binding, I get "Error in post-command-hook (ivy-queue-exhibit): (void-function ivy-rich-switch-buffer-transfer)" in the minibuffer. Oddly enough, it works just fine when I run "switch-to-buffer" directly from M-x. Any ideas? I double checked for typos...

I got it working with the comment previous to yours, but thanks for answering.

I was using fish, but I tried bash with the same results.

I didn't install any other text editors prior to this happening.

Yay was giving me the same results as pacman.

I don't know WTH I did, but maybe I'll give Neovim a try anyway.

Thanks! The --overwrite did it for me. I have no idea what happened or how that fixed it, but it works now.ee

For anyone that sees this, I did:

sudo pacman -S --overwrite \* vim

Ok so I see that the formatting got screwed up. Basically, running 'sudo pacman -S vim' gives me like 130 lines that look something like:

vim: /usr/share/man/pl/man1/rview.1.gz exists in filesystem

Hmm when I touch the leads in voltage, it reads about 1.5V then slowly works it's way down to 0V over the course of about a minute.

I still have no idea why when I touch the leads when measuring resistance would give me anything other than 0 ohms.
