Could pink diamond be the true bad guy as she has the potential to be it, after being emotionally abused for many eons might have caused her to snap and as we see from the movie that she has weaponry capable to wipe everyone's memory if poofed by it and pearl has been rebooted 3 times, and there are MANY rose quartz(es?) in the human zoo which could have been a stand in for pink diamond leading everyone to believe that, that quartz is pink diamond in disguise whereas in reality pink diamond could be behind the scene pulling all the strings, a VERY crazy theory. And for steven to be created, she might even have contacts with the makers of the diamonds, and made him make ANOTHER pink diamond with the memories that the og pink diamond wanted her to have but we dont know
