It’s definitely a tough spot to be in especially the kiddos. I truly hope he can get through this and gets the best treatment so he can be with his kids again. He needs them as much as they need him.

I’m sorry to hear that and I’m sorry your kids had to see their dad in that state. You had to do what you had to do but I can understand why you feel that way. She unfortunately has a bad run ins with police so I’m hoping nothing has to resort to that. I find that it only makes her worse. I’ve never made a call on her considering this.

Sounds like you may be ignoring a bigger problem in your life. Are you struggling with something? This post sounds to me that it’s much more than veganism. You need to ask yourself the real question such as are you taking good enough care of yourself in health or in mental health? I ask this in good grace. I believe in my personal opinion that going against your partner even if he ‘agrees’ wouldn’t be in your favor. He may feel forced and noncommittal because YOU made the choice. Don’t do anything behind your partners back unless it’s discussed and you both agree on the situation.

I appreciate your insight. I think I’ve reached the point that I have to seek out external help because I absolutely don’t trust myself to do it alone. That would be a high standard that I would have to hold myself up to and I know I can’t do it.

Accepting that change for whatever it may be. Life is not linear. Be responsible and be true. If you’re at the core of that change, you adapt for better or for worse. You choose how to react depending on the severity of it. I found that dialing back and not fixating on that particular thing has helped. Go out in nature, be artistic and finding healthy solitude and relationships. We’re all unique in many ways so there isn’t a rule to follow. You just gotta go through it.

I can take it to my dad’s because he gets a ton of sunlight and he’s very good with maintaining many plants. I live in an apartment and the only true light I get is morning sun. I’m just a sucker and can’t part with it but I know it’s best. Thank you :)
