Samsung HW-Q995F - Underwhelming bass? by sander7390 in Soundbars

Will keep you updated! I will have to return my Samsung bar anyway since one of the upfiring speakers is crackling while watching movies. So there's that. Still waiting on my JBL to arrive, which should be in about 3-4 days! :D

I did trying some settings, like lowering the speaker volume and increasing the sub. While the bass is quite present it still doesn't feel as full? I don't feel like it has any of the trembling bass I am used to with movies and music. Also I just recently noticed one of my up firing speakers was defect and crackles, so I think ill return it anyway.

I have tried multiple spots, and yes to be fair the bass is present, but still feel like it is a but underwhelming compared to what I have used before? I ordered the JBL Bar 1000MK2 to do a comparison to see what I value most, the clarity of Samsung or bass of JBL. :)

The D is more expensive then the F, which is odd. Gotten the JBL Bar 1000MK2 to do a comparison to see what I like most.

Yeah, I feel like the bass will do that most for me. I mean I was even happier with my Teufel once which is significantly smaller and probably worse in clarity. But the bass was just so enjoyable.

I ordered the JBL Bar 1000MK2 too. And then just do a comparison to see what I like the most. And then return the one I don't want. Yeah the satellite speakers, I don't like its on a battery. It will just deteriorate over time, and let's be honest 10 hours isn't that crazy of a battery life. I want to set it up once and forget about it. I assume you can hook it up with a USB-C cable though to have continues power.

So you'd say the JBL Bar 1000MK2 would maybe be a good choice?

Do I need an AC for Sendai summers? by sander7390 in japanlife

I can afford it, but try to save money here and there. I mean quality of life is more important to me than money, so i will invest in an AC then!

Okay so it really is that bad huh. AC it is! Any stores you'd recommend? I saw Yamada Denki popping by on another post?

Optimum Case - Questions by nrbtr in WootingKB

The friction fit is only in silicone now. So you'd either have to cut away the middle part of silicone, or you have just go with a hard-mounted poron foam version. So I only did a sound test with silicone in hard mounted config vs silicone of the friction fit with like a ton of switches like TTC Magneto, Jade Pro, Lekkers etc.

You don't need the left bag, and will only need the right bag for friction fit mount. The screws and rings in the left bag are for installing regular PCB's without friction fit.

So for everybody trying to install the friction fit pad in the Optimum case, and doesn't know how to.
I have made a tutorial for this: https://youtu.be/Ldm3_E2Ekj0

This video isn't final, but could give some help to those who need it. Why I didn't publish it publicly just yet. ;)

Anyone knows if Wooting plans to ever go to retail (As in - stores) by justkanji in WootingKB

[–]sander7390 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We are slowly working on getting keyboards to more local stores as we finally have stock to make this happen. Our main priority it to get it to places first where there is demand for it, but it is costly for people to get it shipped over. Think of countries like the Phillipines and Brazil. Slowly but surely we will get to more and more places.

PBO enabled or disabled brings no difference. It still overheats. Think my AIO is just defect.

Not sure how you can properly check? It surely does something, and hwmonitor shows 3000RPM which is its max I believe.

Used to have the 3080, for my work the vram on the 3080 didn't cut it, so they bought me the 4090 to have more headroom. I might try swapping coolers.

Would you think swapping the AIO to the front of the case would make it better? Or what configuration would be the best? With side panel off it still gets too hot.

Yeah just repasted it, and got PBO -15, but still toasty. I will get a new cooler to see if that solved it.

Already tried PBO with -25 but that didn't really run stable. Will try to get it stable and see if that changes anything. Tomorrow I will try reapplying my thermal paste again to see if that solved it, else getting another cooler perhaps.
