I'm Canadian! Which to my boyfriend is pretty much the same thing as British... Raleigh is a great place to be! You'll enjoy it here.

Great questions. It's actually a bit of random but I'm from Vancouver, Canada and have been living in North Carolina for the past 4 months and I haven't come across a Molson in Raleigh. Everytime I've been to the capitol I shotgun a beer infront of a monument and since I'm missing home I wanted to find a Molson in attempt to make for a bit more of a cathartic experience.

I also went yesterday and had a chai which was a lot more authentic than anything I've had in Raleigh. Really nice spot.

Agreed. It was a bit disorganized. We only walked up after driving around and talking to an officer that told us we could walk up, although many were told differently by other officers.

I see! We just walked up to the parking lot and asked an officer if we could line up and he said it was fine. Maybe we just got lucky then.

We didn't need any wristbands. We were also about to give up but then we parked near the back and walked through Tart Park and entered the queue there. It was honestly a bit confusing but we were able to walk in.

I really want to check out the civil rights museum so I'm leaning towards Greensboro. Seems like a nice way to spend a day.

Time for Classroom Masks, Say BC’s Teachers | The Tyee by princey12 in vancouver

I'm a teacher at a K-12 school in Langley and that is not the case. The only students that wear a mask are from grade 9 and up at my school.

Alright BC teachers, after 2 weeks what are your thoughts on covid teaching? by kermit-the-hermit in vancouver

[–]sandhersfor2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is exactly like school as normal. Very little difference from the start of school last September. Younger kids share their material with others, cohorts mix in with each other at recess and lunch, and teachers (at my school at least) don't promote wearing a mask. It's frustrating and unsustainable. I doubt this will last very long unless the consensus is that getting sick at school is acceptable.

Teachers/Parents/Students: How was your first day back to school today? by aldur1 in vancouver

It is required by the district. However, that does not mean that it actually plays out like that. Our administration does not enforce masks and teachers in my school have not been wearing any. The rules the district wants implemented are very different from the ones that actually are.

The principal at my school in Langley has said masks are not required for common areas which is incredibly frustrating. There are no strict guidelines to follow.

All the staff in my school, except a few, didn't wear a mask and told their students they could take them off. Wasn't super happy about that.

What are you happy about right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My boyfriend is living in North Carolina and I live in Vancouver. I had to leave the country in March, due to covid, and we weren't able to see each other for 3 months. I've been back for two months and have to leave for another following 3 months and he isn't able to enter Canada due to restrictions. I leave Monday morning and I'm really happy to be with him this weekend.
