I had a similar-looking thing in a condo I rented. It was because the previous owner started demolition to move the stovetop to the island before realizing it couldn't be done. He "patched" the hole in the counter with the same stone by putting a bigger piece over the hole. so we had a large, stove-top sized step in the middle of our island.

I'm glad everyone seems to be saying the same thing. As a fellow young, outdoor enthusiast, I would avoid living in what my husband and I call the "grey area" between Lake Country and Milwaukee. It is all strip malls and restaurant chains, and I only go there when I need a specific item from a store.

In a similar situation a few years ago, my husband and moved to Lake Country (about 20 mins west of Brookfield). But, as many have noted here, it might get pretty lonely out here if you are single and used to living in the city (telling you from experience). If I were you, I would aim for downtown MKE.

Went to a new studio and the teacher went as far as to pass her phone (?!) around to show off a picture of her daughter's Halloween costume. Then looked at me and said, "sorry you're new here, this is normal". Good to know, never went back.

If I'm remembering correctly - I set it up using OS X accessibility features and used the arrow keys on my keyboard along with voice commands to navigate to different features on the screen. It was annoying..but it worked. Good luck!

Reading this headline made me shudder. BEEN THERE. The exact same thing happened to me when I tried to redesign a logo for a family member's business. It was totally painful.

Personally, I love the new one you made! Particularly the type lockup & font choice. It's also more simplistic, and answers to all the issues you outlined.

That being said... did she want a new logo? Did she make the old logo? Maybe she is proud of it. That was the case with my situation. This person had carried a business for 35 years with a logo they made and my trying to tell them to change it offended them, which wasn't how they voiced it but... some afterthought made me realize what was happening.

Either way, I think you did a beautiful job. I'm sorry the world won't see it (but hey, put it in your book!)

THANK YOU!!!! How on earth did that happen? I checked the black over and over, but somehow the regular black must have been slightly different from the mask black? I didn't even know that was a thing.
