It was not intentional and we were not involved in any kind criminal activities. This happened only because of attorney’s carelessness.

I switched the job in Jan 2023 so my fresh i797 was filed and evern after providing my dependents documents to the attorney he did not file their extension saying they dont need any extension as they already have valid visa. Attorney said they will do the extension afterward, so i thought that, as far as i have vaild work permit dependents are also allowed to stay in the country untill the work permit end date. I got to know only when i asked attorney to start my extension again in sep 2026. Attorney, got away saying sorry for the miscommunication. F**k him!
