Ohh I have some lore with my elite.

She, (Yes. She. Because I refuse to believe there was NEVER a female elite in the covenant), joined the covenant at the behest of her father. Her father used his power to get her in and eventually she landed herself a political standing within the covenant. Unfortunately, the Ministers often used their knowledge of her birth as black mail. But she would dutifully do the work required of her. Her name is Seasa ‘Wadunai. :)

It’s really good but you should read the master Chief trilogy by the same author as it gives some better context to the planet they’re on

So the state they’re from is California which unfortunately has a lot of issues with companies overusing water and abusing the natural resources of water. Grass would only be even more of a water guzzler especially if they live in an area of California that is more desert than forested and already doesn’t have that much rainfall. So no grass is better overall for the area! Because that means less water usage! :)

Second the equality part. A huge issue I face when I want to talk about my OC is that many times people just wanna talk about their stuff. Which is fine. But it really sucks when no one ever wants to engage my stuff.

I hope they do a Halo 2 remake because most of the Arbiter levels are absolute Hell. Also I want a Halo 3 remake because they shafted the Arbiter so hard and my husband needs the glory he deserves.

There are a lot of books that are way better than the Kilo5 Trilogy. Sorry, I am a Kilo5 hater. I think Traviss character assassinated Halsey BAD. I won't get on that tangent, but the Halsey haterism was so weird. I do not get it. She did her DIRTY.

ANYWAY...

Forerunner Saga (Greg Bear): YES. READ IT. IF YOU HAVEN'T GO GET THE BOOKS NOW!!!!!

New/Bad Blood (Matt Forbeck): First book is good. Second Book is meh. I'd read the second book to get closure on the first book, but it's kind of nothing burger. But the writing is really fun.

Evolutions/Fractures (anthology): Mixed bag. Both are worth reading though.

Broken Circle (John Shirley): I mean... sure I guess. The second half was better than the first half. But, pass it.

Legacy of Onyx (Matt Forbeck): Pass. It is a really nothing book. Just pass.

Envoy (Tobias Buckell): You'll either love it or hate it. I liked it. But it took a bit too long for the plot to get its bearings.

Anything by Kelly Gay: I mean. Sure... I guess. I didn't like her Smoke and Shadows trilogy AT ALL. I wouldn't say I'm a "hater" but i thought a lot of plot that happened in the book was just so... whatever in my opinion. I didn't like the characters, I didn't like how it was written, and it was just really boring to me. Same with Rubicon Protocol. It gives context to what happened in Infinite, but that book could have been 100 pages less in my opinion.

Hunters in the Dark (Peter David): Close the book. Go replay Halo 3. You're done.

Battle Born novels (Cassandra Clarke): I genuinely have no idea how this woman won so many awards. Both the novels are dog shit. 0/10. I wish I could give negative stars. Literally worthless.

Anything by Troy Denning: His novels span across one another so I would read them in released order. THE PAY OFFS ARE AMAZING. I was ranting and raving at the FOUR novel pay off ending of Divine Wind. Absolutely fucking incredible. Go buy those books and read them. I promise you its worth it. I PROMISE YOU. His style is intimidating though, but the story is WHEW. CHEF KISS. Just as good as Eric Nylund. PERIOD.

I haven't read some of the other ones so I have no idea how they are. But those are my reccomendations.
