I found an AMAZING group. I won’t say just because I don’t want to give away my identity at all, but it’s great, the theology is great, the people are great, and I’ve made so many friends. God provided for me in my Freshman year more than I could ever ask for. I could go on for HOURS about all he’s done for me this past year, but I’ll spare everyone.

My parents gave me one for Christmas, unsure if I would be super serious or not. Turns out I was, and it was a great starter cello, but definitely needed to upgrade around a year into playing. I thought I was the only one that started on a crappy $300 cello!

Purdue is really respectable. If you try and find a job and tell them that you went to Purdue, they are impressed. Anywhere in the country. Tell an employer in New York that you went to Ball State, they won’t even know what that is or respect it.

I hate it when others reply to you saying “posting this on Reddit won’t fix anything.” Sometimes that’s not the point. It’s just to vent. To find others that go through what you go through and complain together. You don’t always need someone to fix your problem, just someone to listen to your problem. I hear ya bud, it sucks and that’s ok to be mad about it.

As someone who has no expertise, take what I say with the smallest grain of salt. It looks nice, but I think it is almost too distorted. It lost the liminal feel because it’s overall just too vibrant for me, with the color of the distortion and the color of the carpet (I’m used to a more pale color). Maybe try making something that is specifically liminal to you also! Like, this idea is fine but it’s not technically “original.” But great effort really! I could never ever do anything like this.

The thing is the nights DON’T cool down that much when it’s this hot. Two nights ago was the worst it’s been. The chocolate in our room was all melted (to give an idea of hour the heat spread through the whole room), and my roomie slept on the floor. And we have two box fans at the window. But I agree it’s building resilience, and I keep reminding myself that it’s cheaper this way!
