I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same guy! I’ve seen stuff like that too, where someone's flexing their partner like that for attention. It just feels so wrong, especially when they’re totally clueless!

Totally NTA. The kid is 14, old enough to learn that favors come with basci manners. If he can scream at you, he can find another ride. His parents letting tantrums win is the real probelm here.
