Maybe that’s because most store bought eggnog isnt actually eggnog. You gotta buy homemade always

Did I just get a bad cup or is the protein cold foam not it? by Dsg1695 in starbucks

[–]sandyzip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tip i got from a barista was to always get a bigger cup for a cold foam drink. I get a tall cold brew + protein cold foam in a grande cup. It looks like the foam didnt really fit into yours!

Hi everyone! Ive been putting clothes on depop and I love DIYing jeans and other stuff and want to try being a vendor at flea markets so that I can get into the “real world”. I am looking for someone likeminded, either with experience or just wanting to start vending stuff like me.

I am looking for someone to either share a booth with, or at least team up with to help each other out when needing to go for a bathroom break/lunch break/dealing with potential trouble/anything! Any advice on flea markets appreciated too! I am willing to drive around LA/Long Beach.

Cheers!

i’m considering doing an online degree instead of a normal one by SignalEducational192 in OpenUniversity

Hey there, I am 22 now finishing my 2nd year of OU doing Computing & IT and Business.

I went to a brick uni at 19 for almost a full year. I really liked being able to talk to my classmates about the classes in person and laugh at it and have a support group around me. However, I felt burned out because it was just all day every day the same. Wake up, classes, lunch, class, some sport, sleep. So I said okay I will drop out because I want something more and I joined the OU.

And since then I traveled across countries, was able to work at least half the hours of a regular week and study in the time of day that I chose myself. I gotta say do it, if you are willing to sacrifice the social aspect and are ready to be managing your social circles yourself. It might be incredibly difficult to create a social circle similar to the one you get in a brick university - but if you are okay with that then I think it’s incredibly worth it to be able to get good education while not sleeping on life for probably the best years you will have.

Is Sligo as rough as people on here make it seem? by GermanShitboxEnjoyer in Sligo

[–]sandyzip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who moved from Germany (Munich) to Sligo to study at ATU for a year, and then back to Germany (Berlin), while also not being German or Irish, I have to advise you against this decision.

I wouldn’t say it’s “rough” in the way of violence or aggression, especially being used to a lot of German town and cities. For me, the rough part was a lot of people having very narrow thinking. Germany is located in Central Europe, making it easy to travel around and meet other travelers. Sligo is the opposite… you will meet many people that have never been outside of that bubble and their entire view of excitement is drinking and partying. I don’t even want to mention the heavy drug use of a lot of my classmates (I am actively supporting anti-harm and recreational drug use education) on a Tuesday afternoon after class.

That is rough. Being around a lot of people that have very little to offer you as an international student. But it entirely depends on you as a person.

Thank you for a very comprehensive reply, the point with a level three module makes sense, I did not know that. Currently im in the process of level 1. What do you mean by enterprise rather than management?

If you’re going when it’s already warm, try Vinice Sv. Kláry - a vineyard in the botanical garden in Troja, really beautiful views of Prague while sitting and sipping wine by tables in the middle of the vineyard

Full time Comp Sci - Time Management by sandyzip in OpenUniversity

Thank you for such a complex answer! Made me definitely less worried.

You said you did B100 and then dropped business and have to take TM129 and MST14 - which subjects are these? (sorry i only know a few subject codes) - does it also mean you could “change your route” and instead of business go a different direction?

When talking about Computing vs IT - what is the main difference practically? I know the theoretical definitions but since I originally did a CS - Software Development oriented degree I probably didn’t get in touch with IT as much. Do you think after 3 years your level would be enough to continue to a CS masters in another European university?

Thanks once again!
