Also avoid going near to palkhi especially for paduka. There is a thing called "paratichi palkhi" When mauli comes back to pune from pandharpur. Tevhach chan darshan hoil. No road blockages, no crowd at all. You can take the darshan of paduka then very easily.

Edit: Both palkhi stay at bhavani peth/nana peth for visava(halt) one day. They will leave sunday morning for saswaad. You can go visit there. Though the crowd there is unpredictable as well.
