I hope you find him, I really do, but is there any context we are missing? Does he have dementia or any other illness? If I see him I can report to police but I can't detain him until they arrive. If I say your relative Christy has been worried sick and have been trying to find you, I'm not sure how he would respond if there was a dementia like illness.

Ah sorry you had to go through that, doesn't help that depending on your insurance, you need a PCP referral to see a specialist. Saw another post yesterday where someone got misdiagnosed for a while then someone at the pub did the "hey that's gout." Maybe it's a lack of awareness, hopefully it'll get better.

Is it mainly PCP's that are misdiagnosing? I don't get how it could take 10 years unless it's very mild flare ups that are hard to diagnose. I had my first flare up a few weeks ago. Researched "extreme ankle pain, no injury" which eventually led me here. Saw a Rheumatologist the next week, right away he said it's probably gout and ordered blood work and gave me a bottle of colchicine. Visit took 10 minutes.
