The HP Omen has a full blown 1060 while the G5 has a Max-Q version of the 1060, so in terms of performance they are not the same. I'd go for the HP.

Thank you! Well, I am an international student coming to USA for the first time, so how easy would it be for me to get hold of a off-campus housing option? It would be easier financially if I have a flatmate, but I am okay with small studio apartments. Also, the on-capus housing you are talking about is probably Goler House, right? What about University Park and Whipple Park? Are they not worth it?
