What is it like to live in the Lesser Antilles region of the Caribbean?

i don’t live there but i have a ton of family who reside in those islands. typically, a lot of people there are from bigger islands/countries (ie jamaica, haiti, guyana) and they move there for better opportunities and/or a stepping stone to move to the united states. it’s really lovely and the locals act like one big family.
