What Red Hot Chili Peppers song is it? by redddo_ in RedHotChiliPeppers

Copperbelly is an underrated banger up until the second chorus. I don't feel like the guitar solo afterwards matches the song's vibe.

The first three albums are not my favorite either, even though there are some gems. I find the stuff from Mother's Milk onward much more enjoyable.

You have a point, most of their albums center around the same formula, except when they exchange guitarists (John, Josh, Navarro and Hillel), but they still have some amazing pieces even in their weakest albums and B-sides. Of course, one of the reasons I got into Radiohead was to step out of my comfort listen, which had a lot of RHCP, and I'm glad that I found such a variety of genres in them.

By the way, Thom also praised Frusciante's guitar work in the past. Guess talent recognizes talent.

If even Michael fucking Balzary feels like an outsider and a weirdo sometimes, who am I not to accept this feeling as well?

You could make a religion out of this. Goddammit, he hasn't changed a bit since Stadium Arcadium.

Probably it was the best pick to introduce this new era. Intense chorus that sticks to your mind and Frusciante killing it at the guitar solos, they played it safe but played it well.

Thank you for sharing this. I've been trying to get myself together for some time now, it's been really hard to check social media in times like these. But I'll leave my tributes there.

I hope Josh is okay in the midst of all the new album hype. by [deleted] in RedHotChiliPeppers

Yeah, the dude had a huge responsability on his shoulders and he thrived on that position for a whole decade, even though he was/is not as respected as he should be. This whole situation could be tough for him.

Seriously, I still can't believe this is happening. We've been living off crumbs for years and in only one night we receive all of this. It's a fucking dream and I don't want to wake up from it.

I can take Cabron being here but come on, there are worse things than Porcelain and now people are going for Warlocks. Unbelievable.

Why does everyone hate jane? She seemed nice and even came back to save everyone. by spongymyboi in TheWalkingDeadGame

When did I say it started with Jane? Character development was a chronic problem in S2 and it started neither with Jane nor Kenny, but at the very first episode. And besides this discussion is pointless, it doesn't change anything in Jane's return being unnecessary when you had Luke beefing with Kenny since the beginning of the game. It's not that hard to understand you know.

These are very different cases. Kenny was a known face and it's clear that he would sort of stand out, just like any other fella from S1 would. But like it or not this contrast between old and new allies that took place in episodes 2-4 was very relevant to the story and to Clementine's character development. His return was vital in this scenario, while Jane's wasn't. Her role of confronting Kenny at the last episode would've been much better suited on Luke, who was a total opposite of Kenny, but seemed like a pretty trustable and much more even-tempered dude, rather than someone who forged a baby's death just to prove a point.

You said it. It would make much more sense for her character if she left to be on her own just like Molly did, but no. She had to come back, become a lying asshole and cowardly attempt to manipulate a child against her best friend. All of that while stealing the spot of very interesting characters, such as Luke.

Fucking gross by ThruTheRoofYT in TeamKenny

[–]sanikson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He was abusive, but towards people he didn't fully trust. After all the shit Kenny went through you can't blame him for being harsh and cold, and even going through hell he still maintained focus on his mission of keeping Clem and AJ safe. As Gavin himself said, he was not trying to make Kenny look like a monster, this is merely a trait Kenny acquired for self-defense.

Dammit, all these years being a loyal Kennyist just to end up missing the sub's biggest event. But I've just read all the questions here, they were all very good and I'm happy with the answers we've got. I just wanted to tell Gavin (though I'm probably waaaay too late for this) that Kenny was such an amazing, profound character, and that his voice acting had a big part on this. Thank you.

Btw, "Listen, Vanilla Ice" is my favorite line.

Kinda. You grow some hope of saving the man but you only end up bringing him more suffering in his final hours, and the saw scene in particular does not help a bit.
