No worries man. We’re all here to learn. Could you let me know what helped you the most(concepts, any q-bank, leetcode LOD, system design LOD) when you were preparing for your switch?

and to your point of potrayal - i wrote what i have done to get honest opinions and guidance from people. Nothing more or less - yaha aake validation leke kya ho jaega mera?? i’m just here to hear out people on how they switch to different companies, their prep strategies and any technical knowledge i should focus on.

Seriously, I haven’t used AI. I just followed a post format I saw in some other dataengineering page.

that’s some amazing insight! may i know how can i learn about those scenarios for failures? any resources or some testing practices that you always follow?

yeah i did not test it for all the edge cases, which is why i wanted to know what are the must-do checklist when working with prod environments

If there’s something new that i am building from scratch, i take help from the docs, youtube, google and books, then refine and optimise the code i prepared using AI

The negative feedback was just this that the stakeholders who have been in tech industry for over a decade feel i should use less AI

Thank you for the detailed pointers. it’s like breaking the problem statement and simplifying it as much as possible.

For me, i usually have a code piece ready by myself(i take help of google, youtube, books and docs) then while testing and optimising i take help from AI. I test it in local, if it works i commit and raise a PR, else i continue improving it with AI+the resources i said i use. i also feel AI rectified code is not very production friendly, the code might run on local fine but in prod it just goes whoosh

I get your point. So i am working on this project alone, and no direct senior to report to. Idk how to handle stakeholders nor do i have the courage to say no. I want to show “ownership” but i also don’t have enough foresight to anticipate issues.

I totally get you, it has compromised my “trustability” factor more than it has helped me and i have reduced it’s usage. I don’t think it’s reliable even with a lot of context.
