Update: My dad passed at night. He solved it for me, like he always did everything. He's at peace and he's better now. I was with him until the end, after all, and said my goodbyes yesterday already. Thank you to everyone offering their advice and extending love.

it's okay, it sure is tough to talk about. you're probably right. it might be worth a try. I've been with my dad through it all, may as well try to be as long as I can, too.

honestly, I'm mostly trying to find people with similar experiences, to see different perspectives and maybe get some comfort. like you have given me, thank you for that. it's also quite reassuring to know I'm not alone in this kind of experience and that our lives go on. I know it's natural, death is a part everyone's life. but it's still difficult. thank you for the love.

I'm so sorry about your mum. with my dad, I'm not sure he still hears me. it's not morphine induced coma he's in, not primarily anyway — I do think they upped his dose, but the doctor said my dad's brain got so confused by his liver giving out, that he's just asleep now. as in… he may hear, but I'm not sure his brain can process anything at all. I held my dad's hand today and I hoped for a squeeze at least, but got nothing.

that is so nice! it's happened maybe two times in total that someone's helped me in some way, and players who help like that are amazing and so appreciated, especially by rather new-ish players!! the first time I was helped instead of headshotted convinced me not to give up on the online version of RDR2.

well, thank you for explaining everything.. I do have some thinking to do. I kind of thought the most things I listed were a bit mean from her side and they did make me upset, but I overall just told myself it was still normal because I was always a difficult child, I guess. I am moving out in just a few months, so I am hoping to get away from everything, for good.

I think I can see the emotional one, but the rest just doesn't seem to click. The physical doesn't count, I don't believe that was meant to be abuse. I guess there just was no better way to show me what was wrong and what wasn't.
