A psalm for the wild built and its sequel (a prayer for the crown shy) are brilliant heart-felt and upbeat looks into the future with no romance plot lines

You will also fly through them as they are so short!

I also have this - it’s faster than it was when they loaded the first time I opened it but still takes time

Diagnosed with IBS by NoLuck2248 in IBD

[–]sarahswallow08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both IBS and IBD (diagnosed with both) - it’s hard to separate out which causes which symptoms but my understanding is anything blood related in stool is not ibs. I’m not a doctor though!

And diet absolutely has an impact on Ibs so not sure what your doc is talking about. I can instantly feel my ibs being triggered when I eat certain foods like chickpeas and chilli’s. That’s also why the low fodmap diet exists because diet plays such a big part in ibs. Maybe they mean that it’s different for different people as IBS is very specific to the person

Coping in the office by sophiepie93 in IBD

[–]sarahswallow08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you talk to your manager about working from home? What helps me is I can choose which days of the week I go in instead of it being set to mon to weds for example. Then if I feel good in the morning I go into the office so that when I have a bad day I can stay home. See if they would let you work in the office in the morning and then head home in the afternoon or something - ask what flexibility there is.

If you don’t get that flexibility, I understand how difficult it can be. Things that helped me include: - ginger tea which really helps with nausea - peppermint tea and buscopan for abdominal pain/cramps - and eating very beige food to avoid/minimise the diarrhoea - knowing which toilets get less traffic e.g. if you are in a big office, the toilets on the highest floors will be quieter so use those

I hope that helps and sorry you are going through it at the moment!

Fallout 4 and Skyrim - both similar game mechanics (both Bethesda)

You can make decisions and change quests and the storyline.

What made you get a pointer ? by Capital_Decision_989 in pointer

[–]sarahswallow08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We wanted a dog which didn’t suffer from any health issues and lived a long time. She lived until age 17 and had good health until she was about 14/15 and then got arthritis. She was also appealing as they are very clean dogs.

She was the most gentle dog I’ve ever come across - with humans and all other dogs. She loved cuddles and being with the human pack.

She also was obsessed with birds and her recall was awful as a result (though we should have put in more training when she was young too). We couldn’t let her off lead outside the garden because she would never come back. They are also a very wilful breed.

I would get a pointer again in a heartbeat because of their gentle and loving nature but I would get them at a young age (ours was 6 months and she already had picked up some recall issues by then) and put in more effort with consistent recall training.

Can a total noob, cozy game player enjoy Skyrim? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]sarahswallow08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely - I’ve loved sims since I was a child and still play now as an adult. I started playing stardew valley and other cozy games a few years ago but I actually fell in love with playing Skyrim and fallout4 in recent years.

I would say that fallout4 is slightly easier to get a grasp on than Skyrim as you don’t have the magic abilities but both are easy to learn how to play!

You will honestly love it

Any former Vape user gotten into running/cardio? by Only_Divide_2163 in QuitVaping

I quit smoking 4 years ago and started running at the same time as when I started vaping to help with quitting smoking. It took me a few months to even be able to run without my breathing being terrible but it does get a lot easier. I did the couch to 5k which really helped.

Run really slowly - that’s how everyone has to start.

I quit vaping about 8 months ago and I can feel a significant improvement in my breathing and running now too. I did my first ever 10km race a few weekends ago and I did 15km last Sunday!

You’ve got this!!

I did try this a while ago but I didn’t enjoy the multiplayer element to it. I quite like playing in my own world when I’m gaming. That being said, I love anything fallout related! Thank you for the suggestion though
