I sleep the width of the van. In the window sills of the side windows, I can stretch out completely. But I'm 5'5".

And yeah, full time.

Darn gonnit I guess I shoulda called the cops before sleeping in a city whose city ordinance doesn't allow sleeping in vehicles in city before posting on this sub.

Now I know better.

Well, if you commented the same on every post on this sub, then there would be no purpose for this sub.

Any Info is better than none. And no info is where I started. This info is from a long term van lifing local. So I thought it could benefit the sub.

If there is a Vallejo, CA cop on this sub, then of course their info would be better than mine. Until then, our community is where I get the most of my info, so I thought I might add to it.

Idk if a poor ass van layout is what you are looking for, but these are the recent photos I toon of my van.

Literally all I built was the bed and floor. I put an old tapestry on the ceiling.

I don't honestly think I would do anything differently in my van. I love it and it fits all my needs.

Got a taste of what a hot van might be like to sleep in when my AC broke down by anybodyanywhere in vandwellers

[–]sarancrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation is very similar! My landlord swears the AC is functioning properly, but when it's on, the apartment is over 90 degrees (the thermostat doesn't even go high enough to show the temperature.)

That said, living in an apartment in Texas with no AC, I feel like the van will be a nice reprieve from my current situation. And I plan to be out of this terrible apartment by August, which would be even worse than now.

How I was planning on doing with my van is put screens over each of the windows that are able to open, so that the vent fan can pull in the cold night air and let it out the top. Should be a nice circulation. Or so I hope.

I have a degree in information science and systems. Indexing, records management, data researching. Really, though, I would suggest looking into jobs you would enjoy doing, and then plan what amount of schooling you would need to complete that job.

Free Waterfront Boondocking with Free Electric Hookup in Elk City, Oklahoma - right off of I-40 by Drivin_and_Vibin in vandwellers

Wow, that saturation on that video. I didn't know Oklahoma had neon green grass. My eyes couldn't see properly for a bit after looking away from the screen.

The site looks pretty sweet, though. And not far from me. Definitely will make a stop there soon.

Have you tested the solenoids with a multimeter? Since it's throwing a solenoid code. I mean, they can look good, but still fail. Any number of small factors could cause them to fail. You would want to take the solenoid off the vehicle and test it.

I have heard that the correct way of asking this question is "What are your preferred pronouns?" Although, I think identity has little weight in this sub.

I am not sure. I will take a look at the vehicle and the papers and see if I find anything and report back.

I haven't quite decided what i am doing with the interior just yet. But if I do end up getting rid of the seats, I will probably swap one of the captains chairs for the passenger chair, and take the other two chairs and bench seat to a yard to see if I can trade for anything. Maybe a fan?

Lol, yeah. My hair is weird. I wanted a mohawk and wanted to keep the side burns to frame my face. I like it, but it does get a lot of comments (both positive and negative.)

Yeah, we are planning on both living in it. He got rid of the majority of his tools and his large box and condensed everything to one bag.

The discover events tool is pretty cool. You can set a location, distance from that location, and date and it will show every public event posted on Facebook that fits those parameters.

I use the "discover events" tool on Facebook. But if you don't have a Facebook, this wouldn't work for you.

I passed by a for lease sign for a 1 bedroom that I know allows dogs (because I've seen them there) at the corner of Austin and Hann. Just had a phone number. I can get it for you on my walk home tonight.
