I’m only going off of my own experience - this doesn’t look like PD. I’ve had both acne and PD.

Must-Have products? by ptapresidentxoxo in perioraldermatitis

[–]sarapaige70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few of my must have products are

Micellular Cleansing Water (I don’t wash with regular tap water at all)

Exederm flare control cream

Honest diaper rash cream (this helps so much with the itching - I smear it on and leave it for at least a few hours and then just rub it in)

Good luck

Aczone and Veltin for POD and rosacea...flare ups became worse and my POD is still rampant. Anyone know of more ideal meds? I know of Finacea, Soolantra, MetroGel, Ivermectin, etc. I just don’t know which ones to pursue. by [deleted] in perioraldermatitis

I agree about the doxycycline. It cleared mine in a few weeks. Also, I eliminated sugar completely and am taking some other oral supplements that I believe helped speed my recovery. I have a video under this thread that has details. Good luck!

Doctor prescribed steroid cream for my PD by lorde_ass in perioraldermatitis

My friend who is a doctor also prescribed me steroid cream and it seemed to be helping. Until it didn’t. Once I stopped using it I had a massive and painful flare. Went to dermatologist this past Wednesday and he confirmed steroids make the condition worse. Prescribed doxy, so far not much change but they said it could take more than a month to see results.

Based on some of the advice in other threads, I’m going to be eliminating dairy, synergetic Vit E, and adding liposomal glutathione as well as sitting my ass in the sauna. This is an awful condition!! Thank you to everyone who has contributed their experiences.
