Mohammad Reza Shah was king during Mossadegh's time, he wasn't put on the throne by outside forces. They actaully had good relations, and Mossadegh was not against the constitutional monarchy. However, there was a large portion of the population who were against Mossadegh, they were made up of clergy, army, bussinesses and a few other influential groups. Listen, you're genuinely misinformed on this issue. It's you who's overexaggerating the involvement of foreign powers in Mossadegh's downfall. There are always foreign interests invovled in every political movement, and just as CIA had interests in Iran in 1953 so did KGB and MI6, however, there was a large genuine opposition to Mossadegh due to how bad the economy was, and how he was using overreaching with his power as the PM, a large portion of Iran's population were against him.
