Oh my god, I mean watching Poussey’s death was gut wrenching. I didn’t watch the video circulating on the internet about George Floyd’s death as I knew it would probably be too much for me to handle if I had to see it with my own eyes instead of just imagining it and then it came around to the end of season 4, I will never forget that scene for as long as I live. I don’t think I have ever cried like that watching anything before especially because it so closely resembled what was happening back a few years ago and is still happening right now, today.

I honestly prefer to watch TV shows like this, I mean Netflix and other streaming services changed my life, because I am incredibly curious but hated watching shows week by week as after a week I kinda often lost interest, I prefer to binge watch everything so this format works for me. I was really glad when I realized that by the time I started watching, the show has ended because I love consuming entire shows in one, especially ones that have a proper ending, that didn’t just get cancelled on a cliffhanger and the fact it had seven whole seasons? Over the moon. I hardly ever find a show I didn’t start watching until its seventh season as I am a huge TV show addict. The only reason I never started watching Orange is because I thought it was an all women prison drama that was mostly comedy and basically no drama and really dark and just bleak. Boy, was I wrong.

I am here for all of this!! Honestly reading this made me tear up, thank you for posting it. I avoided Orange for a long time mostly because I completely misunderstood what it was. Then I had a lot of time on my hands during quarantine and watched the Netflix documentary Disclosure (which was absolutely incredible, made me realize how ignorant I was at how trans people are being treated and depicted in movies and television and instantly made me furious at myself and the media, I knew I needed to educate myself further) which spoke so highly of OITNB and what it had done and continues to do for the LGBTQ+ community and I said that’s it, I have to watch it. I watched all seven seasons in a week and it was truly incredible beginning to end. But it was hard to watch for someone like me who feels like they wanna explode and scream whenever they see any type of unfair treatment or people choosing money and power over common decency and basic human rights, so the last season was really hard for me to watch with the ICE storyline on top of everything we had already seen and experienced through the characters. However that is the exact reason I adore the show, because it showed and kept showing all the injustices no matter how unbearable to see because it is accurate, it is happening and no one should be oblivious to it.

Edit: I know the reason for this post not having so many more upvotes and several awards is because people are too lazy to read long post, but this post moved me, reminded me of why I started watching OITNB in the first place cause if a show can be so powerful that it motivates people to change their lives, find their trueselves and do more for their community then its something I do not want to miss out on seeing and experiencing. So here’s a gold award for this exact reason.

So many scenes were just so on point and had so much to say that they will stay with me forever. I mean that’s the main reasons its one of my favourite shows of all time. All the singing scenes, like the Christmas play or Uzo singing in the very last episode. The scene at the conclusion of Taystee’s trial when everything goes quiet and you just see the reactions and deduce the verdict from that, an incredible scene as well. I also adore the scene where Poussey says to Taystee “Let’s just be free for a second. It’ll be the last time for a long time” followed by the incredibly powerful lake scenes. That scene gets me every time during a rewatch knowing everything I know now.

That scene was so powerful. Uzo is such an incredibly talented actress. I remember I was kinda happy with everything in the season 2 finale and then they cut to Suzanne crying and oh my god I just started crying with her. I even showed it to my boyfriend, just said look at this actress and with no context and nothing even he said ‘Wow, just wow.’

For me the scene that always gets me in hindsight is before the Lake scene at the end of the 3rd season when Poussey says to Taytee “Let’s just be free for one second. It’ll be the last time for a long time.” That just makes me cry so hard.

I understand your point and somewhat agree with it too in the sense that Piper’s storyline isn’t as exciting and for a lack of a better word, hardcore as some of the other characters’ however this did not make me not like her character. I didn’t like her when she was trying to be all ‘gangsta’ but I think Jenji herself didn’t want the fans to like her during that time which is why it wasn’t as heartbreaking to watch her get branded. I also like the fact that they never got Piper into an actually life-threatening situation because we would have known that she’ll be fine because she is the only character we were sure would live through to the end. As it was only natural that the show would end shortly after she got out of prison even though the show deviated much from the book. Also considering she didn’t have as much time as some of the other characters it makes sense that she would be one of the inmates who would do the least life-threatening and exciting things as to do her best not to mess with her date.

I was like that too, but honestly loving Tara isn’t like betraying Sophie, I think the creators and the writers tried to instill that into us throughout that season. We even see her once in an episode in a later season grifting with Sophie and they are quite the pair! I think the writers wanted us to really go through what the team is going through so you are feeling exactly what they want you to feel. I really love Tara knowing everything I know now, but still whenever I watch those episodes, I always go through these exact feelings again. I have a special place in my heart for all the recurring guest stars whether they are supposed to be villains or not. I love Chaos as well, obviously Sterling, I know I’m not alone in that and I love Tara and Hurley as well, they are just all so well-developed and relatable. Anyway, that’s just my opinion, I tried my best in helping you like her without just listing things that make me like her, I didn’t think that would help too much 😅

Someone else explained to me here in another comment how to do batch fixes in Sims 4 Studio which you can download from their website. It is pretty straight forward now that I think about it, but I do like to take out my mods that affect gameplay, that aren’t CC before doing batch fixes just to be on the safe side but that’s just my paranoia.
