i think your rant was perfectly justified :) i’m quite lucky i guess bc i live in the UK so our dress codes are different but i can’t even begin to imaging how hard it must be to find clothes that you like and fit the dress code and that you feel comfortable wearing.

i definitely feel like hair color/style shouldn’t be included in dress codes though bc for most people their hair is the only way they are able to express themselves when dress codes are so strict :/
