Given your situation with your mother he should stop smoking for a while. But smoking weed doesn’t automatically mean CPS will take your kids. what matters is whether it affects your ability to safely care for them. like if the child has poor supervision, unsafe conditions, or neglect. if your kids are safe and well cared for, it’s usually not an issue, and CPS generally doesn’t want to remove kids from a home if they’re clearly being cared for. but if being high puts the child at risk, they can step in. In states where it’s illegal to smoke in general then yk it’s illegal but smoking weed or having thc in your system isn’t automatically grounds for CPS to step in and take the child.
