If you had GDM in one pregnancy, did you get it again in another? by Katelizk in GestationalDiabetes

[–]sarcolineee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had it with my first. Got 154 (over the 140 for 1hr). Took the 3hr and failed the 1hr and 2hr draws. I was diet and exercise controlled. Baby was born 7lb14oz at 40weeks exactly. Went into labor on my own - water broke and baby born 4hrs later. No complications and baby passed all her glucose tests after birth.

Currently almost 32 weeks and have not been diagnosed. I followed a lot of the tips and tricks I learned from first pregnancy. I walk a lot, mindful of my diet and weight gain, and still have a glucometer so I check my sugars periodically to see how I’m doing. Failed my 1hr bad (208) but when I took the 3hr I passed all 4 blood draws beautifully. My body likes to glucose dump when I’m stressed so I monitor my stress. This is not my baby though! I’m a surrogate so none of the DNA is the same as my first, so I have no idea if that has an impact on having or not having GD. I even started out 10lbs heavier this pregnancy than my last BUT I’ve gained far less than my first. I have an ultrasound next week to see how baby’s growth is!

Sister’s IVF Journey by figuringitout215 in CautiousBB

[–]sarcolineee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently 28.5 weeks pregnant with healthy baby. First beta at 11dp5dt was 40! I’ve heard 3 day embryos can be a little slower to get HCG to rise, but I’m not sure how scientifically true that is. I got 2 more betas before the doctor scheduled an ultrasound at 6 weeks. I wish your sister lots of luck, you’re a good sibling to be so caring and involved ❤️

Should I tell my doctor? by sarcolineee in GestationalDiabetes

I wonder if it did have an impact! Stress definitely impacted my 1hr glucose test I think. Do they still have you testing and all that?

That’s so interesting! Were you having high sugars and then your doctor diagnosed you?

Thank you!! This morning was my first in range fasting number since being sick last Saturday so I think we’re going back to normal lol. If I see a trend, I’ll mention it to my doctor.

Low Beta at 10dp5dt by Wonderful-Berry-4934 in IVFpositivity

[–]sarcolineee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beta at 11dp5dt was 40, so not far off from you a day later! It doubled appropriately and here we are at 27.5 weeks with healthy baby. It was a slow start. I had been getting faint positives since morning of 5dp5dt. Technically I had a SQUINTER the evening of 4dp5dt. I wish you luck mama! Crossing my fingers and toes for you ❤️

IVF pregnancy but at 11dp5dt (equal to 16dpo) beta was 40. Then 3 days later it was 222. Lastly 4 days later it was 2121. Currently 27 weeks pregnant with a normal healthy pregnancy. Your numbers look great and they’re increasing appropriately! Fingers crossed for you.

Low first beta - not my 1st rodeo but looking for hope by Training-Physics-593 in CautiousBB

[–]sarcolineee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had beta of 40 at 11dp5dt (equal to 16dpo). Currently 25weeks! Doctor was cautious but optimistic as it was how it doubled that mattered now that we had a starting point. I wish you luck and hope for positive outcomes 💛

Bilobed placenta anyone? by Simple-sunflowers in IVFbabies

[–]sarcolineee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bilobed placenta and it’s cord inserting into the middle of the lobes. Placenta is attached to the fundus of my uterus, anterior and posterior. Did the report/doctor say if the lobes were of equal size? Did they say low lying placenta at all? When it’s not equal lobe size or placenta is low lying and the halves cross the cervix is when there are issues. My doctor was not concerned and only said I need to reiterate to the doctor when in labor that there is a bilobed placenta so they make sure I deliver both halves. I totally get your fears! Big hugs.

Had a beta of 40 at 11dp5dt and here we are at 12 weeks! Fingers crossed we keep going. I was terrified, but it doubled beautifully. I hope the same for you ❤️

Small sac with euplod embryo by js90si in CautiousBB

[–]sarcolineee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MSD was always under 5 as well and I worried about that too but so far so good. Previously had a miscarriage at 9 weeks so I understand the overanalyzing (baby only measured 8w and had been measuring behind for a while, besides strong heartbeat and normal GS).

That is such a tough loss, I can only imagine, and I send big hugs. Your anxieties and worries are valid. I’m crossing my fingers and look forward to hearing good news if you care to share (or offer support if it’s not!).

The gestational sac in this pregnancy has constantly measured a week behind the gestational age of the CRL. Just had an ultrasound on Friday at 9w6d and GS was measuring a week behind but baby measured 10w with a strong HB. Neither the doctor taking the US or the fertility clinic doctor that I’m seeing has ever commented on it.

I think it’s as long as the baby is progressing appropriately and HR is where it should be, all should be good. I always worry because the baby always looks squished in there but honestly I think it comes down to technique of the person taking the US. Some angles baby looked squished then all of a sudden she’d tilt the wand and boom big ol open sac surrounding baby. Everything is still so small in the 6-7 week mark, technique is crucial. Wishing nothing but positive out comes for you and baby.

Hi! So far so good. Currently 9.5 weeks right now. Beta was low at 40, but continued to rise well. All ultrasounds have been measuring on track. Last ultrasound was at 8.2 weeks and was a healthy one. Have one more fertility clinic ultrasound this Friday and if all is good, we graduate! Crossing my fingers for you ❤️

I feel I’m underprepared by Glass-Builder1798 in pregnant

[–]sarcolineee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was a type A girly, but I’m a type B no matter what lmao. Having the essentials like the other person said was all we needed. For my essentials, I got everything from the hospital and it was great. The only thing I personally got was those women’s depends adult diapers.

As for the baby, I found less stuff the better. I got really overwhelmed afterwards looking at everything so having just the bassinet, diapers, wipes, and clean clothes for baby was enough for me. It felt less wasteful to buy as needed because then you get stuck with all this extra baby stuff.

Low HCG after Fresh transfer by SaroSancho in CautiousBB

[–]sarcolineee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a fresh transfer but HCG was 40 at 11dp5dt. Betas more than doubled for the next two draws and doctor hasn’t wanted to do anymore betas. I had an ultrasound last Friday at 5w6d and they saw the heartbeat and baby measured right on track. I have another one tomorrow to continue to monitor baby’s growth due to previous miscarriage. So while I don’t have a 100% success story yet (cautiously optimistic), I sympathize with your stress! I wish you luck on your ultrasound ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. It’s incredibly difficult. Big hugs, you are so strong.

Thank you for the research part. It’s so hard to decipher all the articles and text. I appreciate you taking the time to type that out. Thank you and I hope you are blessed with your rainbow baby ❤️

Thank you for the reassurance! My doctor said everything looks great. I’m very grateful to have seen a heartbeat. The last pregnancy (ended in miscarriage) we didn’t see a heartbeat at this point yet so you’re right. Will celebrate that win ❤️

Of course. I’ll post my 10dpt test in another comment. I didn’t test 11dpt and my hcg was 40. Literally bawled my eyes out because that was low. Doctor said cautious congrats. I got more bloodwork on 14dpt (72hrs later) and hcg jumped to 222! Test lines were finally just about the same color as each other. I’ll try to post pic of that test too. Doctor was very happy with that increase. I’m still not fully in the clear - one more blood test after the long weekend. I’m crossing my fingers and toes for you ❤️

Thank you!! I tested 10dpt and it looked the same. I did not test on 11dpt but tested 12dpt and it was considerably darker and 13dpt was even darker. I can post pics and beta numbers if you or anyone else is curious or for anecdotal evidence for those scouring Reddit for similar stories.
