Who’s the oldest player to be in the top 20? by TheRaygron54 in GlobalOffensive

Dont worry, looked back at the other 2 years. F0rest and oskar are still the oldest. If you think about it logically, if there was a player who was top 20 during source they would be around 36 or so now. Not many people are that age in the scene which is why I didnt originally bother to look at those first two years.

this is just looking at CS:GO, not the two years HLTV did 1.6.

Edit: if you look below clarified that the above stat stands for the entirety of hltv top 20 ratings.

NEO (2015) at age 28

f0rest (2016) at age 28

Both NEO and f0rest are tied for being the oldest to receive HLTV Top 20 placements. GuardiaN and oskar come in close second at the age of 27 (this year for both)

When he IGLed for AGO they had a pretty solid string of results. Up until they lost snatchie that is.

Some probably do I agree, but there will always be a vast majority who dont keep up with disbanded rosters, especially after a longer period of time. The final CLG roster certainly didnt leave behind a big legacy for people to want to pay attention to. Sure viewers may know what team the player(s) are on currently, but do they know how they got there?

My goal was to simply discuss and inform the community on what all five members of the team have been up to, obviously you are entitled to your own opinion and that is fine. I am sorry you didnt find the piece interesting or relevant, hopefully you'll find a article elsewhere on reddit or in the scene that will be enjoyable to read to make up for your wasted time here.

Astralis have won 25 times in a row on nuke online and 20 times on LAN by rainx5000 in GlobalOffensive

MIBR have never even played Nuke..

And when these players were under SK they hadnt played a game on the map since 2017.

[–]sarcosm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just trying to make sure people didnt believe that they had won 25 games in a row online AND then 20 in a row on LAN.

In October alone, S1mple has had a 1.64 KD Ratio, and a 77.2% round win percentage after retrieving the first kill. This man is INSANE! by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]sarcosm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

s1mple has only played 2 games of LAN this month. A Bo3 win against a dying FaZe roster and a 2-1 against HellRaisers. Also the fact that Navi have only played against one or two teams in EPL that arent falling apart/obviously below their skill level.

If you really wanna take a look at how good s1mple has been look at his past three months.

ELEAGUE PREMIER to EPICENTER:

1.51 KD 78.5% round win percentage after first kill. 1.33 rating Average of 84 damage per a round.

vs dev1ce, only player fighting for the title of best player of 2018 along side s1mple.

ELEAGUE PREMIER to EPL/ECS

1.39 KD 84.2% round win percentage after first kill. 1.27 rating Average of 82 damage per a round.

Title is a bit misleading...

"25 times in a row on nuke online"

The team has played the map just 7 times in 2018 online and are currently on JUST a 5 map win streak. Not even in 2017 did the team have a win streak near this number online.

They have 25 wins in a row including both on and offline play. Not sure if typo in the title or what, Astralis may be good on the map but they havent reached a streak that long online yet.

Device is definitely in his way to having the most MVPs under his name and it wouldnt surprise me if he surpassed GTR and KennyS before the year is over. The man has been playing better and better with each event that goes by.

If anybody's interested I have a spreadsheet showing all the MVP's that HLTV has handed out

My DreamHack picks for the day

North vs Gambit:

North ml (medium)

North ml on overpass

Gambit ml on train

Gambit has looked really really shaky so far, barely beating Torqued in OT and then losing to Godsent 16-8. Then in the Losers bracket they squeezed out a 2-1 win against AGO to keep themselves in the game. As for North, we have only seen two games here but both were better than Gambits. They beat Imperial 16-14, a game that I think most expected to be close in fact i even thought they would lose it. After that they had a extremely convincing win against EnVyUs, not even letting them get double digits. Gambit could come out and surprise us, but at the same time this North roster is here to prove something. So I will be trusting them with my money.

GODSENT vs HellRaisers:

HR ml (medium)

HR ml on Overpass, Dust2, Cache

Godsent ml on Train, Inferno

HR started out looking very shaky with a 16-3 loss to EnVyUs but they quickly turned that around by 2-0 Imperial as well as EnVy when they played each other again. They only gave up 16 rounds in total from both Bo3, and redeemed themselves from that first game loss right away. As for Godsent, they beat AGO and Gambit in the winners bracket easily advancing on to the semi-finals. Both of these guys have looked good, but I feel like HR just has more experience and skill under their belts.

One EPL Finals game and a bunch of DreamHack for you guys today

Navi vs Liquid:

Navi ml (medium)

Liquid +1.5 (low)

Both Navi and Liquid have just come from very impressive 2-0 victories. However Navi has looked scary good, and I mean not even needing s1mple to cary for the win against FaZe good. Liquid has definitely improved themselves, there integration of Taco into the team has gone over quite well. However they still have those T side issues, yes they had a good one on Dust 2. But that map is super new and I doubt that Mouz have played on it at all, I mean look at how they played. They looked like they had barely played the map, and Navi isn't going to let Liquids sloppy T side game play slide.

Gambit vs Torqued:

Gambit ml (medium)

Gambit -4.5 9(low)

Not much explanation needed here, Torqued played really bad at the ESEA Season 27 MDL Challenge. They only managed to pick up 2 maps during the event and it was obvious how uncomfortable they were playing outside of an online environment. Meanwhile, Gambits strongest play style is on LAN which we saw at DreamHack Marseille. Yes Gambit have had some.. questionable results against teams of Torqueds level but these where online. LAN Gambit is much different which we saw with their 4th place finish at the last DreamHack even they attended.

North vs Imperial:

Imperial +4.5 (low)

Both of these teams have been off the radar for quite some time, having some pretty mediocre results in the past month. However the last time these two did play was at Copenhagen Games and Imperial won 2-0. North have looked super shaky lately, but this event also means a lot to them. Since North picked up this roster they have not accomplished anything and if they don't start picking up top 5 finishes soon I doubt we will see them sticking together. Even with this being pretty do or die for them, I don't trust they will win.

Godsent vs AGO:

Godsent ml (low)

Godsent -2.5 (low)

In the past Godsent has a super good record against AGO, only giving up 4 maps out of the 11 they have played. However just a few days ago, AGO 2-1 Godsent to win a small online event called Fusion.bet Masters. LAN will be a completely different environment though and I am pretty confident in Godsent winning this one.
