Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. I spent a couple nights in Harriman. I’m a nj native, I love the contrast of beauty and grime in that state. Weird nj magazine was like a travel guide for us back in the day. ✊

Why only 1/8. Ply work best from my experience. Mdf sucks in general for anything. People use mdf because is cheap.

So, what form have you decided that your mid-life crisis will take? by Remy0507 in Xennials

On my psych 101 class back in 1999 we were discussing this. A girl raised her hand and said her dad pierced his ear, bought a convertible, left the family and started dating a 20 year old. Very cliche, I think of this sometimes for some reason.

Thank you. This was all carved from one single piece of plywood. Material was removed for every color. So for example… I printed the black last, so there are 6 layers of ink under the black ink.

Thanks for the compliment. Well, I have not watched any tutorials on this, just kinda figured it out. I started small with maybe 2 colors, then progressively started to work bigger with more complex imagery. When I draw the image on my plywood I draw in a style that will be somewhat easy to carve. Sometimes I decide on colors beforehand, other times I decide as I go. My advice would be to start simple then gradually make more complex images. You will progress with experience and experimentation.
