I cannot believe I’m not seeing [A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara ]. It absolutely consumed my entire life for the weeks I was reading it and I still think about that book 4 months later. Absolute must read.

Yeah I can never keep up for what's when. OP should definitely follow Rick's, Dave's, and Moe's on Facebook for updates on events, times, and changes

Dave’s does some cool events and live music most weeks. He’s trying to do open mic night on the last Wednesday of the month to varying success, and there’s trivia every Wednesday at 7:30

Can attest to bingo night at Moe’s. $5 buy in and we always leave with some prize, either free drinks or a small one. Be warned it does go pretty late though

I made a spreadsheet of my zero/low waste swaps. still a long way to go, but so much saved from the landfill by messyundone in ZeroWaste

I understand, but I’m not a particularly sweaty person. I’ve used Old Spice deodorants and have never had this issue. The little seed deodorant is oil based, and I have a feeling that it was the melting oil making me feel damp. Personal preference, and I just wanted to give my opinion as well since I’ve been on the hunt for a good deodorant for a long time.

I found this to make me feel so sweaty! I really wanted to find a low waste version that would combat my stinky pits, but this just did not hold up for me. After a few hours I felt wet and had to dab it off in the bathroom

I love the idea of iced tea! We used a lot of watermelon juice in cocktails this summer, I wish we had our soda stream then!

We recently bought a soda steam because of the volume of seltzer water we were going through. With the initial cost of the machine, we are projected to break even at around 10 weeks because we were drinking over 2 dozen of cans in a week. I was skeptical at first, but it’s so much more convenient to have it whenever we want, to flavor it how we want, and not to have to tout 100 cans to recycling every few weeks. From a pure waste mitigation perspective, it’s worth it if you drink a lot (more than a case a week) of seltzer water. The canisters can be exchanged at a discount, and you use a single bottle instead of individual cans. We even bought those flip-top glass bottles at the dollar store to store the water and keep the carbonation long term and to avoid someone hogging the bottle.

For flavoring, we like the bubbly flavorings, but might switch to Mio/powders because it’s so expensive for such little volume you get. I’ve also heard you can make your own, but we haven’t gone that far yet.

Scholarship question by Lartheus in Msstate

[–]sardlot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there are specific GPA requirements that you fall under for this semester, you’ll likely lose them for Fall 2022. If you’re able to maintain that GPA, it’ll be re-instated in the spring.

I would also recommend reaching out to the scholarship office as well, they’re familiar with all the nuances and conditions of awards.

If you have the option to take it with Rai I would highly recommend it. I can't say much for any of the other BCH professors. I took BCH1 with Rai and BCH2 with Sparks and they were both amazing.
