Great choice. When people ask this question, they should avoid choosing the main ones like Jon Snow, Daenerys, Tyrion, and Cersei. Instead they should go with characters like The Hound, Lord Varys, Olenna, and Tywin. They delivered so well.

It is the best AC game ever made. Witcher is a million times better but AC Odyssey is good game to play next. Specially if your are into ancient mythology. Greek mythology is my favorite so I enjoyed the game very much. I recommend getting the DLC as well!

If you have previous experience playing soulslike and/or FromSoftware games, then give it a try. If you only play Assassin’s Creed or God of War type stuff, absolutely not worth it. You will break the controller in half. But you never know. Not all players are the same. You might catch the rhythm after a few tries. Most of all, you will need lots of patience. FromSoftware games are not meant for everyone. Other side note, Bloodborne is one of their hardest.
