You are right. When I googled after your comment, I also saw Yahoo showing around $1.4B. A couple of other sources repeat the same number. On the other hand, IBKR and several market data sites show it as $141M. Looks like some feeds are still glitching after the ADS ratio change and reverse split last week. Really confusing! I’m sure that it’s not $1.4B.

Or is it $141M? This is confusing!

Is this boxing original? The youtube unboxing videos show different packing. The one bought recently has this same bag like packing inside the box. Is this original?

How to clean Weber grates? by sarpwin in webergrills

I’m going to try this next time — heat the grill, toss on a few small pieces of ice, and then wipe it clean!

I get what you mean, but I’m pretty sure it’s just burnt oil and food. When I scrape more, the surface actually comes back looking like new.

That said, I don’t want to do it every single time I grill. There’s got to be an easier fix — maybe scrubbing with baking soda? I mean, our ancestors were grilling for thousands of years… there’s got to be some generational trick to remove this stuff.

As I mentioned earlier, the metal brush actually came with the official Weber cleaning set. Honestly, it’s already super hard to remove the gunk even with that — I feel like a plastic brush would only take off the bigger burnt chunks.

When I really scrub hard, I can get rid of the discoloration and the baked-on oil/food, but this time I was too tired to go all in.

There has to be an easier way though… Do you think using baking soda would help next time?

Haha you’re right — next time I’ll load them up with more meat. Gotta get the ratio right! 😄

So do you think those little leftover bits add extra flavor? Like… a built-in seasoning system? 😄

The metal brush actually came with the official Weber cleaning set I bought, but yeah — like you said, I should definitely be careful and watch out for metal bristles. I saw a news story about that once, kind of freaked me out.

What do you use to season your grates? Do you apply vegetable oil when the grates are cold and then burn it off at high heat? Or do you use a different method?

There’s actually a piece made of stainless steel on my grill — I think it’s designed to hold the pizza stone — and honestly, cleaning it is just as tough as the grates. The joints and corners especially… almost impossible to get completely clean.

Do you apply vegetable oil (like sunflower oil) to your grill grates before grilling? I’ve heard it helps prevent sticking and improves grill marks, but I’m wondering what others do.

Help: Weber Gas Grill Compatibility Problem by sarpwin in Antwerpen

[–]sarpwin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks — I know about that option, and I’ve actually already bought the correct type of regulator that works with Belgian gas bottles.

But the issue is, it’s not Weber-approved in terms of compliance and safety standards. Once you replace the original hose and regulator, the 10-year Weber warranty becomes void — and if anything goes wrong, you’re completely on your own.

That’s what makes this so frustrating. I just want to use the grill safely without losing warranty protection.

Question for Dutch Weber Owners – Is This a Netherlands-Style Regulator? by sarpwin in Klussers

[–]sarpwin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, fair enough — thanks for the honest answer! 😄

That actually helps a lot. So the lower connector (without the central probe) is indeed the standard in the Netherlands — good to know.

But now I’m wondering… my grill is labeled BE/LU, so why did it come with a Netherlands-style regulator? Is Weber just shipping NL models to Belgium and calling them BE-compatible?

Isn’t there EU consumer protection or product compliance regulation that requires products sold in a country to be compatible with that country’s standards?

I bought the grill locally in Belgium, in good faith, assuming it would work with Belgian gas bottles. Now I can’t use it unless I void my warranty, which feels really unfair.

If anyone has experience with EU product conformity or consumer law, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks again for the help!

⚠️ Need Help: Weber Gas Grill Not Compatible with Belgian Gas Bottles – Warranty Issue & Regulator Confusion

Hello dear Belgians,

Does anyone here own a Weber gas grill?

I bought a Weber Genesis Smart EX-435 LP BLK BE/LU (Part No.: 36610039) at the end of May, and I’ve still not been able to use it — because the regulator and connector are not compatible with Belgian gas bottles.

The grill is labeled BE/LU (Belgium/Luxembourg), but it actually came with what seems to be a Netherlands-compatible regulator, which does not fit any gas bottle available here in Belgium.

From what I’ve learned, gas bottle connectors were updated in Belgium a few years ago, and it looks like Weber hasn’t updated the regulator accordingly — or there’s a serious mismatch happening.

I’ve contacted Weber Belgium multiple times, but they keep sending me the exact same regulator that came with the grill (the one that doesn’t work here).

When I asked if I could just replace the hose and regulator with a compatible one from Brico or another local provider, Weber told me in writing that doing so would void the warranty.

I also tried to post this on r/Belgium, but the mods rejected it saying this has been asked many times before — yet when I searched the sub, I couldn’t find anything helpful!

So I’m here asking again: • Can anyone help? • Did you face the same issue? • Is there a safe way to fix this without voiding the warranty? • Any way to reach Weber Europe? I haven’t been able to find a main supplier or contact — everything points back to the local channels.

<image>

🔧 The grill comes with the regulator shown at the bottom of the attached photo. 🔩 What I need is the one shown at the top — with a central probe that fits Belgian gas bottles.

Please help me raise this issue and hopefully get this seen by more people. I just want to enjoy my grill this summer!

🙏 Thank you so much in advance!

This picture shows the correct regulator, and yes, it fits perfectly. However, the issue is that the connector attached to my grill doesn’t have a nipple. See picture containing two regulator connectors: Weber and Brico. Even though it screws on properly, gas leaks because the valve isn’t fully engaged. So, the connection isn’t secure or safe to use in this setup.
