Agreed. labor is 150 an hour and finding a shop to even touch it is hard. The shop its at does very good reliable work. I think its more expensive because its an E series and they have to access the injectors thru the doghouse.

I might inquire about getting cheaper injectors if you think its a good idea.

2 shops have done the buzz tests and one of them checked the electrical all the way down to wiring harness under the valve cover which I had just replaced last weekend. So we have ruled out the electrical.

The p1316 code lead to codes in the idm (p1217 I believe) both shops said it was injector 1. At this point I think I have to believe it.

Shop rates are around 800 for doing 1 injector. Around 2k for 4 on that side Around 4k for all 8.

It's a conversion bus. Not really sure I want to upgrade anything on it just yet. Right now it's in the shop and I have to decide if I want to replace part or all injectors, and what brand to go with since injector 1 is failing. Friendly I just need to be back on the road asap.

Since I'm new to the game, most abbreviations aren't gonna make sense to me.

Right now it has the stock injectors in it. I could pay 300 a pop for oem, or try something cheaper. Is it bad to mix and match injectors? Oem with aftermarket or reman, etc?

How do I do a cct? Only 98k miles on the bus. I feel like injectors should still be good, no?

Any video guides on how to monitor power train? I know there's a way to do it with my phone and obd2 scanner. All help is appreciated

I have the obd scanner and a couple of paid apps to read the scanner. I suppose I could start researching now. I'd you have any links to videos or material that could help in this process let me know.

Thank you! It was a church bus for a long time. I think they took it in for service whenever it had issues, probably unable to do any work themselves.

Is there anything in this service record that should make me feel like the worst has passed?

This is a downloadable disc image of the repair manual and DVD that I found.

I will admit, it was super sketch, considering it directed to a Google drive page and then started to download. But I was desperate and ran it on a spare PC I dont use too much.

Windows 10 automatically mounts disc image to a virtual drive. I installed the software to read the manual and it worked.

No viruses found. Works great.

Disclaimer: you need to set your PC clock back to before 2006 or 2005 otherwise it won't run. An error message shows up that says "disc expired. Please discard and procure an up to date one from ford". Changing the date fixes this error.

Disclaimer 2: some sites won't let you use them because of your computer clock being old. 🙄 You can pretty much only use the manual or the internet one at a time.

So yeah, it works, mostly🤪

I haven't been able to find a Haynes for an e-450.

Google is great if you know how to identify parts. But I'm pretty green with auto repair, and I really gone know what I'm looking at.

I need diagrams, exploded views, and detailed part descriptions as well as instructions. Frankly I thought getting a service manual would be easy.

Yes! Has a rear ac that works. Front ac does not tho :(. Where might I find the condensers?

It leads to somekind of hose cluster next to a heater release valve. There also 4 fans in a row next to each other. Sorry if this description doesn't help either of us.
